Learning to settle.

The first year syllabus is not branch or domain specific but same for all the branches. It's because it's also a requirement to revise all the necessary basics and set grounds for further studies which will follow. There's always space for improvement when it comes to idealizing the delivery of the syllabus material which will help the students best. The exam frequency is alright from the administrative point of view, getting it all done it time. Though, sometimes getting the entire syllabus covered within time is a problem.

The placements are not exceptional and haven't been so for the last couple years due to recession. But that's not saying that students don't crack them. Infosys and TCS are mass recruiters among others. Placements are mainly for final students only. Students are required to maintain a certain cgpa and the details of packages aren't available yet.

The total fee is 1 lakh, which brings to 25k per year. This is ideally very great, and I've heard that hostel fees is too under 3k for a year. The mess fee has to be paid monthly if you choose a hostel. Although, there are no official named scholarships that I've heard of but EWS candidates are offered some relief, along with caste candidates as well. There are also some government policies that are applicable too.

There's only one major sports fest called Aavahan conducted annually in the month of April. The extracurricular activities are extremely few which are conducted by the college itself. But many clubs and societies take it upon themselves to conduct a variety of events. The library is good. The technology is lacking but there are provisions of setting up new labs in practice too.

Only one entrance exam JEE mains is required to apply yourself to get admission. The application process was pretty simple, just filling up the MPDTE counseling online. One need to be 12th pass and have given JEE Mains to apply. The schedule is followed as put up my MPDTE itself. There are reservation benefits granted. The frequency and timing of exams follows the university curriculum.

The faculty staff is over-all good. They are well versed with syllabus and what they have to teach. If seeked out individually, they offer great help. Obviously you'll always find a bunch you don't like and/or don't fit the right profile of a college professor, but that's the case in every college. As you move ahead with your semesters, I've personally noticed that the level of teaching gets serious and so does the facilities when it comes to it. The ratio is pretty good, i don't think we have had conflicting classes so far.
