Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is very standard and comprehensive, as it is not too difficult or pressurising for the students but is also helpful enough for them, which helps them learn the basics and build a foundation of what they would need in the future for their particular fields for law, example every subject Has four units which includes several topics in one semester. there are two internal and two external exams which are held every year. The internal exams are of 15 marks which give you a duration of an hour to complete and these papers are moderately easy. The external examinations are of 60 marks which have a duration of three hours, these are also pretty standard and moderately easy in nature.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college is one of its strongest points as the college tuition fee is very affordable and even the hostel is available for the students at a very affordable cost. Scholarships are provided for students who have certain achievements. However, there is a lack of placement and campus employment opportunities as very less amount of op, opportunities regarding placement are available for the students who are passing out or are in their final year and most of the students have to seek out PPOs or look for jobs or prepare for civil or judicial exams. The fee is also a strong point of the college as the college has free hikes very rarely the tuition fee for the course that I am pursuing is 1,20,000 Including the tuition fee and other service charges, this is very reasonable And affordable for the students Given the location of the university and the campus.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life of the college is very good and thriving as a lot of events and fest are constantly held. The law fest was recently held in the month of November. The Anoogoonj is the annual fest of the college which is held on a huge scale every year typically, in the month of February, the library of the university is very large and has a huge collection of books and journals relating to law, science, chemistry, computer, et cetera. There are also a lot of recreational activities for people with different interest as they can join different student and clubs for dance, singing, sports, et cetera. There are a lot of sports activities and competitions constantly going on like the Hostel Premier league, and the annual sports meet The classrooms are smart classrooms and are air conditioned Which definitely improve the learning experience for students, especially in the summer season.

Hostel Facilities

4

The Hostel has single rooms with a bed cover, a balcony and a table and a chair. Students can attach their own water, coolers, and other accessories into their rooms. The rooms are relatively smaller, but it is not too difficult to live in these rooms as they are not shared and are only for one student to reside in the mess, menu and food quality is also very nice, considering it is very affordable because they only charge ?75,000 per annum for the Hostel inclusive of all other service charges The Hostel has two air-conditioned common rooms, elevators and two gyms The Hostel also has different sports facilities. There are washing machines and water cooler available on every floor for students to do their laundry. The bathrooms are also spacious and sufficient. The registration process for the Hostel is also very simple. The sports in the Hostel are mostly reserved for outside Delhi candidates .

Admission

The admission process of the college is relatively simpler as it does not conduct any interviews or written test. The admission in the law courses are done Through the CLAT examination, the cut-off are around 2000 AIR for outside Delhi students and for inside Delhi students, the cut-off is relatively higher as 85% of the seats are reserved for integrated. The university also conducts its own entrance exam known as the IPU-CET For admission in some affiliate colleges. The one thing that I dislike about the admission process was the constant delays, date, extensions, and postponement of important dates, application processes, and results of the admissions these delays were very frustrating during the admission process as there was constant anxiety with regards to the admission as not much information. Information was provided about the admissions. Either the website interface and the application process was also very confusing due to the outdated user interface of the university website.

Faculty

3

The faculty is not effective at all as there are very low amount of classes that are held and the professors are very less in amount and the ratio of faculty to student is also very low. Most of the classes are taken by guest lecturers or PHD scholars as the professors are very less in number and most of them are not able to take classes due to workload and having too many responsibilities. As sometimes a single professor is a dean of two or three different universities, however, the teachers are very approachable Because they are less number and even the deen is very approachable, and the students can approach her any time for the queries or any help regarding the curriculum or any other event. Although classes are not held regularly, the teachers are constantly available for mentorship and guidance, and are very helpful. There are a decent number of faculty members who are professors, but most of the classes are taken by teachers who are young and are guest faculty.

Other Applied Colleges

National University of Study and Research in Law - [NUSRL] | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [BALLB] {Hons.} (Criminal Law)

Didnt opt for the college because of locational disadvantage and lack of internship and placement opportunities.

At our college to get the PPO is the best way as college hardly has placements opportunities to be honest. Most law colleges though face this issue as placement for law college happens only at top NLUs and all.

Highest package was of 12 lakhs which was offered by Trilegap to one of our students and it was because she herself earned PPO by interning with them for four months. College placements aren't that good as not many lawyers or law firms come to our college for placements.

Not many as Arbitration lawyers and some law chambers which are a prominent name have approached our college to send some students for interview. So, I think PPO is the best way to find placements for students studying law.

Placement Experience:

Only 30-40 percent studnets get placed at a salary of some 30-40k as conversion ratio of actual placement is quite low here. We get enough help and assistance but actually only a few manages to. For those who does well in internships gets a direct PPO as our college is a cult name when it comes to legal studies.
