- Even on big verdict days where most law schools take their students to court, we don't get any such facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to study something which is deep and has a bit of research too. This is why instead of corporate law I have chosen IP as it's full research thing. Our course has many electives and thus studnets can pursue things which they want to and excel accordingly rather than studying unwanted subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Lawyers of highest stature like the High Court Lawyers and Supreme Court Lawyers are the ones on whose chambers we get Internships Recommendation from the college. Since most internships are unpaid and only daily allowance are provided to us.
Placement Experience
Only 30-40 percent studnets get placed at a salary of some 30-40k as conversion ratio of actual placement is quite low here. We get enough help and assistance but actually only a few manages to. For those who does well in internships gets a direct PPO as our college is a cult name when it comes to legal studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
IIMT & School of Law is a new and modern law college in Delhi which is probably the lowest charged private college of Delhi. Our fees when I took admission was 1 Lakhs and 7500 was registration fees. Now there's no charge such as that but college fees has increased to 1,10,000 a year.
Campus Life
In September every year we have moot court competition and also various elequotion and debate type of things. In odd semester we have Gyaan Manthan where again we compete with a lot of teams of other colleges. Our college infrastructure is amazing but very small in area as just a building with maximum parking space of 8-10 cars and that many two wheelers.
Admission
I applied at CLAT, SLAT and even NLU Delhi. Even Christ I considered but couldn't get admission at any of them and thus was left with only choice of GGSIPU colleges which includes MAIMS, VIPS, our college and some others. I feel our college is more competent than the others and therefore I took admission at Ideal Institute.
Faculty
We have an even ratio as I say as there are three cores of Law and they are BA LLB, BBA LLB, and LLB. So, every branch has some common subjects and those classes are sometimes held together as well. So combined all three branches the number of students is each year are around 250 and there are around 30 faculties to teach them.
Night Life
Bakers Cafe, and Some malls and bowling arcade and paint ball are some of the outings that we have close to our college. Our college only has library and a canteen to spend time at as apart from that we don't have any facilities at our college.
