Course Curriculum Overview
The subject of psychology is emerging. The syllabus covers almost all the important fields related to application of psychology. The curriculum is good and broad. It will help you to develop a good hold on the subject.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible campus placement from the third semester. The ratio of placements is very less. Less than 25 percent of students get placed every year. The university makes very less efforts towards placement. Opt for some specialise courses/degree if you want placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee is very less. The university is a public university and funded by the central government hence the chances of fee hike or increase is very less expect and may happen once in a decade. The yearly course fee is 4000+1000. The additional 1000 is for swayam exam. And hostel fee can cost you from 6000 year to 20000 depending on the hostel you are being allotted. The mess charges are separately billed.
Campus Life
University celebrate Foundation Day on Basant Panchami which is the best and biggest celebration in the campus. The university conduct various youth fest at the different faculty levels and then the Spandan is the youth fest where students who are selected from various facilities take part. There are various clubs in the university which aim to conduct various events.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities in the hostel are good and the meal quality is average. The hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi and LAN. One has to apply for hostel during the admission process. The old hostels are cheaper and the fee isaround 6000 rupees per year but for the new hostels the fees goes up to rupees 20000 per year.
Admission
Anyone having bachelor's of science in psychology is eligible for admission in the course. The few seats are open to people who have a degree in medical, engineering or Science. The admission is based on CUET PG score. The CUET PG exam is conducted once yearly.
Faculty
The availability of faculties is sufficient in numbers but specialized teachers for some courses are not available. The communication of teachers is good. They are highly qualified in their fields. Teachers are easily available for help and other discussions also.
