- Very healthy environment, good infrastructure, ragging free campus and overall balanced campus.
- Got very supportive professors and lab assistants also.
Dislikes
- Not much but very minute details. The college management should take action on unauthorised entry of outsiders
- The college needs to work upon the development of sports infrastructure as it's a well known organization all over India.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As we all know MSc. Physics has vast scopes in terms of career making. One can do research, can be a teacher, professor as well as scientists in some reputed private or public organisations. In Utkal University the faculties make sure that students are clear about the basics and can challenge any type of competition ahead in their life. Exams in our department are very strict and the questions are always made upon practical approaches. That helps students make well use of their conceptual knowledge.
Placement Experience :
In the 4th semester just before project submissions, some of the well known private Institutions, coaching centres come to the campus to hire young teaching professionals for their institutes. Highest package goes around 4.5 Lakhs per anum and average is 2.75 Lakhs per anum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There were no sudden hikes or any kind of advancement in fees that could hit our pockets. It's quite affordable to have your study here. It costed me around 70000 for the total of 2 years including hostel charges. Many private colleges usually come here to hire lecturers and other schools also come here for recruitment of teachers with a handsome amount of payment.
Campus Life :
There are many festivals held by college authority as well as student unions in the campus. Many socio-cultural events during the winters. Campus is very lucrative and greeny . Students can gain more and more from the library that we have in our campus availing almost every range of books. Smart classes facilities are availed to every department. Various sports teams and authorities are set up by students. Dramatic society, singing society and various other clubs are there for various skill enhancement activities.
Hostel Facilities :
Great rooms with good ventilation. Cleanly surrounding and good infrastructure. Meal is quite homely and with less spice and oil that doesn't harm stomachs and healthy for students. Both veg and nonveg options are available in mess. Nonveg is served 2 days(Wednesday and Sunday). Hostel is very affordable and easy to apply. You can apply reschedule or shuffling for hostel in reapply period, in case you want to change your room.
Admission :
You must be a graduate in the respective course from a UGC recognised university or it's affiliated colleges and institutions with aggregate 55% of marks in sum. Application form can be filled through online outings. All the details like fees, key dates are mentioned in the detailed advertisement. There are reserved seats for students from each category according to the university reservation rules. The semester exams usually happen within the span of 5-7 months. Difficulty of exams remains Moderate.
Faculty :
We got 3 faculties for 40 students. 1 HOD and two assistant professors. The professors were highly knowledged and soft-spoken as well as cooperative with students with all the assignments and tasks. They made us sure that all of us can reach them whenever we need help about the assignments or anything regarding our studies.
