An insightful review of Utkal University: Academics, campus Life and beyond.

I'm doing masters in english and my course is very good if you are interested in literature. If you are a literature enthusiast then my course tends to provide you with vast knowledge about the history of english literature and british literature, european literature etc. But the only drawback is it doesn't provide placements or many job opportunities.

Utkal University course fee for M.A English Admission fee- 1892 Form fill up fee per semester- 810(total 4 semester) Seminar fee- 6000 All categories students have to pay the same same amount for form fill up fee and seminar fee Scholarships- State scholarship -10000(general), 13000(SC,ST)

Campus Life in Utkal University is not that happening, we don't have that much of fests but the university organises various cultural festivals throughout the year. We have a very big library where you can find any book of your interest and Utkal University's parija library is considered as the biggest library of odisha There are many sports activities held in the university. The university has a very big field. There are many clubs for extracurricular activities like literary club, painting club, writers club and we have a club named pawsitive for the fooding and adoption for the stray dogs.

Along with Utkal University i applied in Ravenshaw university, Berhampur University and Rama devi women's University. I chose Utkal University because it's a reputed university in odisha with a distinguished history. You can get admitted in utkal University after clearing the cpet exam and if you have good score in cpet you'll get admitted to this university through the admission process by sams.

We have 4 faculty members in our department and the student strength is 80, the faculty members are very friendly with the students, we can approach them without giving a thought if we are facing any problem. I like one of our faculty's teaching method so much, she makes everything seems so easy with the way she teaches. We have to appear in 4 semesters in 2 years, and exams are not that hard. No student have failed the exam till now.

The university gates are always open but the girl hostels has the in time of 7.pm. And the library is opened till 7pm. The cafeteria and the canteen is opened till 9pm. For girls the locality and the university area is not much safe to hangout at night as there are no security guards within the campus.
