Course Curriculum Overview

5

Mounts has a good prestigious name for commerce degrees such as Bachelor of Commerce and bachelor of business administration and it lives upto the name as the faculty and administration specialise in this field and the whole college is built to incorporate these degrees to the maximum. The curriculum is up to date with industry standards and caters to the placement cells needs as well

Internships Opportunities

4

My peers secured internships at places like BoldFit and CultFit for marketing, advertising and finance. A good majority have also gotten an offer for full time jobs post graduation at a stipend of 25-30k a month

Fees and Financial Aid

The campus placement is a very high rate about 70 percent of the students end up taking these jobs in well known companies at high offers. The fees is a very menial amount of 117000 every year which most students make back within 6 months of being employed. There are scholarships and financial aids present in both merit based and need based fields. The fees is overall very affordable and worth every rupee for the quality of education

Campus Life

5

Fantastic. The work life ratio is just perfect and the campus is huge and absolutely beautiful filled with trees , friendly faces, and since it is an all girls college run by a convent, it is exceptionally safe

Admission

While i am not sure of reservation benefit the course was not very easy to apply for as the cut-off during admissions is remarkably high when compared to other competing colleges. This is because of the demand for the seats in the college which are given out in 2 rounds, first come first serve basis. The admission rounds are given out firstly on the board results anyone securing 90+ will most likely secure a seat

Faculty

4.5

There are about 75 students per teacher in a classroom which is a great ratio for the teacher to have a manageable class as well as for students to be able to learn from each other. The teachers are very experienced yet very very approachable and a majority of the teachers are female which adds another layer of comfort as it is a girls college

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
