Their academic progression increasing day by day . Affiliated to naac and college status has changed to autonomous
They provide civil service coaching, music instrument training, gym, cafeteria etc are attractive
They give importance to academic and non academic activities

Dislikes

College is very strict, sometimes it will be suffocating
Phone is prohibited in campus. We can't take phone during 9:15 to 3:15

My love towards this subject forceime to take this course. After taking this I was disappointed because it's full of theory and I expected workouts. Studying mathematics is so relevant in this era, because python programming lead a main role in coding. Calicut University is scheduling our exams. Our first sem examination rescheduled 2 times. It's a little problematic to us

There is no active placements in college. Only placements are available for self financing courses. There is no high companies approached here. I heard that a few number of students only get campus placement and it's disappointed

To a merit seat they have charged me 6600 for this course. I have applied for e-grants scholarship and they didn't gave us the benifits of fee concession. Here many scholarship available like alumnee , postmatric , e-grants,etc

Campus Life

College has conducted several festivals like food, book, art,etc. one week there will be a program by college union or by departments. We had a library contains 4 floors, about 54000 books and 56 journals. Also provide e- library. students had participated in national level by representing our college

Admission

It's based on the higher secondary mark in state board or other board. Admission is under Calicut University online registration. I have got Muslim reservation and later it's changed to general. Now you want to get admission it's only available in college website,not with Calicut University because of college has changed to autonomous status

The teachers here are very knowledgeable, students friendly. They will help us to clear the doubted topics by taking special classes through offline or online. We do have mentors to share our problems both academics and personal.

A Decent College for BSc chemistry students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Why you should/shouldn't join LISSAH

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 the opportunity to get a job is out there. Many companies comes to interview and they swlect the apt ones. Sun, Mahendra etc are some of the companies i remember. The highesr package for freshers is like 15000 a month. There is a high percentage of students getting placements its 80-85%.My plan is to study masters.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.

I got admitted based on merit quota so the admission process was easy. College authorities asked to submit some essential documents and then had a meeting with the principal. Exams are scheduled by the university and it's a difficult task for long-distance students as they schedule exams in a week without a single day's leave.
