Course Curriculum Overview

1

For Bsc IT, the course is Outdated. for example, we had MAD(Mobile application development) subject, where we were taught to make application for old nokia mobile and java mobiles. But the course can be improved if added subjects which will be helpful in future and with students interest. The exam conducted are always late and with incomplete portion. First they will not complete portion and then at the nearly close exam they will speed up everything

Fees and Financial Aid

You will get scholarships for reservations as per Mumbai University guidelines. The college follows the Mumbai University rules for scholarships as well as they also provide their own scholarship for students which is affordable. As I am a Gen category student, it took me FY-33020, SY-34450, TY-28756 and we students got something around 2000 back due to COVID policy as per university.

Campus Life

3.5

There are various fest organized byIT department as well as other department. It will be fun to enagae in them but the crowd is below average. The library infrastructure is good, but the quality of books are bad and torn. The books are outdated and you wont find any interesting books to read. The college have goof facilities such as touch screen , big screen , projectors and rest of the things necessary for teaching. There are many clubs in college, you can join clubs such as yoga, archery, football, etc

Admission

The student should have Maths as there subject in 11th and 12th. There is not entrance exam, the selection is based on the marks obtained in Maths subject. The admission is merit based. First you have to fill the Mumbai University form and then you have to fill the Offcicla college website form. After that you have to pay the college website form fee. Once you get selected you will receive a SMS onto your registered number. as I was in general category there is not scholar for us. The admission process is smooth but is a little hectic coz you will have to come to college to submit documents

Faculty

1.5

We were able to interact with the facaulty easily and they do respond to use too. But the main issue is there lack of knowledge on the subject. They are not aware of recent market trends and the interest of us students. Each facaulty coomads 60-70 students per lecture. In final year when the faculties are distributed among student for project mentorship, each tacher will have 15-20 students under her for project mentorship.

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
