VIT Bhopal University review

The courses provided are important and helpful. Even entrepreneurship related courses are there. The curriculum prepares us finely for real world applications or further academic pursuits. Improvements are required in some teacher's teaching methods. They only give bookish knowledge. They should use some practical methods for teaching too. The semesters are small and there are two exams in one semester. One mid term and other term end. Difficulty level is mostly moderate (it's obviously nowhere near JEE level)

Internship opportunities are good and good companies like TCS Wipro Amazon Flipkart offer different technical IT roles. App building or software development related tasks are given. Stipend (when provided) is good enough for college students.

Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd year. Companies like TCS, WIPRO, Microsoft, Amazon etc. visit this campus for hiring. Thousands of offers are made. Lots of opportunities to try for. Highest is 50 lpa and average is 9 lpa 90+% students gets placed. My plan is to apply for placement.

Admission is done on basis of VITEEE SCORE. Students of different ranks are given different categories of fees to choose for different courses. Category 1 - 8 lakhs for 4 years Category 2- 12 lakhs Category 3- 16.5 lakhs And so on. It keeps increasing but i would suggest to never take any course beyond category 2. The hostel fees varies in accord to number of beds. Financial assistance is available for financially challenged students. Internship offers starts coming in 3rd year onwards. Placement rate is 90% with more than 45% students getting 10+ lpa package

The annual fest is called AdVITya. Every year a big celebrity is invited. This year Mohit Chauhan was invited and it was a big event. Technical fests happen pretty often here. 2 to 3 times every 2 months I guess. Libraries are good with outstanding book collection. Even mangas are there for manga readers. And they are getting even better. Classrooms have projectors, wifi and sitting facilities are good Sports are extra curricular activities provided are good but the football ground needs improvement. There are SEVERAL clubs and student-run social groups that are very active and impactful.

Hostel facilities are mostly good but there are water related issues during summers. There are even AC hostel rooms but i would suggest to not opt for them because they are expensive and they don't even let them students have the AC remote. Meal quality varies but mostly it's good Menu changes every month. Hostel rooms are ALLOTED through hostel counseling. Students are asked to keep 1st choice or second choice and then rooms are are allotted on the basis of VITEEE rank (in first year) and GPA score in later years

Admission is through VITEEE exam. Eligibility is 60% in 12th. Application form could be found in VITEEE website. Application fee is free. But during counselling they take 6k. No reservation benefits. The difficulty level of VITEEE is easy. It's way easier than other exams.

Most faculties have PhD degrees and are experienced in their fields. So you will get good experience in class but there are some bad faculties (we have lists of them so that no one chooses them). Faculties make students do different projects, group activities , assessments and quizzes so basically keeping everyone involved and active. Lab classes are often taken too. Lab facilities are good. Most faculties are easy to talk to and will help you out with doubts.
