What Students Say
Likes
- Enough placements - It’s not like Tier 1 colleges that you’ll get a placement either you study or not.
Dislikes
- Crowd - Due to introduction of new courses like BSc , BAJMC, MAJMC, MBA and what not many locals have made the environment a bit bad.
- Fests/ Function - Since 2019 there hasn’t been any FEST in college and that also was not so popular to be enthusiastic for.
- Clubs - Clubs are something which are corner stones of this college but they too aren’t super active with coming up something new
Course Curriculum Overview
ENC has a syllabus constituted of 55% electronics and 45% computer. If you'll perform good enough throughout the year you'll have a good base to build up skills on that'd make you special for companies. I opted as I wasn't assure of what I'll choose a career in. Suggested areas of improvement till the date I've felt are more focus on learning rather than projects assignments could be done. Exams are 2 sessionals with internal vivas and before end sem 1 external ViVa. Apart from viva anyone can score around 7CGPA or more from effective learning or PYQs
Internships Opportunities
Internship offers have been made recently in 2022 also , their notices you can see on the website's page itself. Stipend offered ranged from 20/30k - 50k. But not enough offers were there for everyone , it were like only 10-20 offers at max
Placement Experience
Students are eligible from 7th semester for placements and internships. Some of the big reknowned companies that have visited the college are - Samsung , Amazon , goldsmansacch , zenon, adobe etc. FOR 725 students 467 offers were made. (BTECH) Highest package was 52LPA while the average is 8.10 LPA Placement percentage is 78.88% Am thinking of taking a placement as soon as I enter the 7th sem.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee is far more affordable as compared to other government colleges with a much much higher return of investment. I as a EWS student would complete my BTech in somewhat 4lakhs. There's an increase of 10k approximately every year in fees. Scholarships are for EWS , TFW , OBC /SC/ST candidates. Anyone can check the same on the notices tab on site. I haven't currently took any responsibility/ employment as of a 2nd year student neither have I seen someone undertaking one.
Campus Life
Generally there was a cultural FEST - elementsculmyca in April every year till 2019 then came COVID and then things discountinued. We also had technical FEST during September but that too has been discountinued. Library has a vast range of books with around 86000 books in total. The campus is WI-FI enabled most of the rooms have AC. Smart class are also there in several rooms. Sports is mainly done by Eklavya club. Most active sports in it currently are - basketball , volleyball , badminton , kabaddi, yoga etc Students mainly connect through clubs in the college with one other and seniors , alumni's.
Admission
You'd have to score 75% or more in your CBSE 12th Exams. (PCM) HSTES hosts the counselling for YMCA also, of which dates are announced 10-15 days after JEE Advance. Application fees was around 1500Rs only ,( +/-) There is also a spot round process which can range from 2-4 rounds which is organised in campus premises itself. Reservation are general just like any other counselling including the state quota of 50%. Areas of improvement are real time accurate seat vacancy during spot round process. Also the fees should be adjusted accordingly if someone changes his/her branch
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is bad , as far as of BTECH I've seen 1:65 on an average for theory classes. While for workshops and Labs it's good w 1:20. Faculty is approachable in case a student has any doubts or needs guidance. Again not everyone is same some aren't at the same level as others but 4/5 are good. Faculty doesn't take much interest in extra projects or things apart from 1-2 exceptions.
Other Applied Colleges
BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)
The only reason was the fees and the approx expenditure I was expecting in 4years graduation
