Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

My course ( Bsc biotechnology) is still a new course in our college it's been only 2 years since the course started so right now it's not very good , there are proper labs for different subjects and experiments but they still lack some machines required for performing all the experiments, the exams are not that difficult for now and the semester is of about 4 months approx between semester exams . TBH I wasn't even trying to take the biotechnology course instead I was trying to take BSC agriculture instead but the class mentor told me the perks of biotechnology as I was a medical student ,

Internships Opportunities

2.5

As I have told our batch is the first batch so there are no seniors whom we can ask about the internships or about any companies , I have just given my second year examinations and I am also excited about the internships.

Placement Experience

2.5

I don't know anything about the placements yet because it was the first batch in the college for our course ( BSC biotechnology) when I joined but we have told that there will be practice classes for placement drives , you will be eligible for placement in your 6th semester or your last semester if you take another course which is longer , but according to my courses even if I am unable to get placement I can still join any biotechnology firms as a lab assistant.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course ( BSC biotechnology) was 30500-/ for the first semester and then it was 29500 for the remaining course but it has been increased to approximately 40000-/ for the recent freshers , although I don't have complete information about this I had heard this from my juniors. The college also a chance to have a scholarship named as JOSH they hold these tests before the admission that you can apply and can get a scholarship based on your score. For campus placements I don't have full knowledge but i have seen some of my seniors from other courses who have taken campus placements. The only thing that is not relevant is that the college charges the students for every event they host even if it's your own FRESHERS, or your juniors FRESHERS EVENT .

Campus Life

1.5

My overall experience would be a moderate one because I don't like the events held by the college because firstly we are paying for events that the college should pay for and secondly they just get very low profile or outdated artists everytime , TBH I haven't gone to any college event after my FRESHERS and those who went also regretted to go because once you enter the event you are not allowed to leave the ground in which the event is happening, even if it's late night and you have to go home , even if you are a hosteller you aren't allowed to stay in your room of you don't want to attend the event , although the events are bad , the sports and other games are still quite fun ,there is a volleyball court, basketball court, open ground with a net for cricket practice, football ground . I don't have much knowledge about the clubs because I haven't joined any but there are different clubs for different skills

Admission

The addmission was quite simple for me because I did most of the things from my phone over phone call and sent my documents through WhatsApp or Gmail , but I you are trying to take addmission by visiting the college it is also very easy, you just enter the admission cell ( the guards will help you get there), and you fill out an admission form but always carry all the essential documents with you ( your 12th,10th board results or results of any entrance exam you have given ) because I might a scholarship based on you previous performance in your studies

Faculty

3

Well if we talk about he faculty, as my course (biotechnology) just started the year I joined the college , the faculty was also some freshers some faculty is very good in teaching while others struggle because none of the faculty has any specialization in the subjects, still they try their best and give proper notes , interaction with the teachers are also very easy because there are comparatively less students per class ( our class have only 40 students)

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
