Likes
- Things I like about my college is that it focuses on the extra curricular activities such as sports, dance etc
- I like the campus of my college. It is eco friendly and is too big and have sheds for the students to rest ( good for summer days)
- The professors are really very helpful and friendly doesn't make us feel uncomfortable
Dislikes
- It should focus more on the studies too just as it focuses on the extra curricular activities
- The professors also should speak in English because there are some students who find it difficult to understand Assamese
Course Curriculum Overview
I choosed History as my major subject because it will help me in my prepration for competitive exams. As I've other subjects too which is related to the real world so it does help the students. Also I've computer as my SEC subject which will help me find a job in my future. But the teachers should use practical methods for the students to make them understand.
Internships Opportunities
I don't about the internships provided by the college as I haven't done any. But there must be social work internships. Also computer related internships. As I'm in my first year so I don't know much . But you can find it in the college website I guess.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite affordable as it is a government funded college but the NC fine is too much I think. Also it provides scholarship such as NSP but it takes too much time too provide the money. As I'm in my 1st year so I haven't taken any campus employment yet
Campus Life
College life is fun. College week is held every year in the month of February. You get to participate in many competitions. Also you can apply for NCC and NSS. NCC is highly recommended. There is a big library. The environment of the Library is good. You'll find useful books. There is also AC in the respective departments. There is E-cell club
Admission
To take admission you have to get atleast 60% and above and 80 marks and above on the subject you want to take as a major. The application form is available on the website of the college DHSk. The application fees is 150 I guess and the application dates have started. If you have reservation such as BPL the admission fees will be reduced. You don't have to give any entrance exams for the UGC but you've to give entrance for the PG I guess
Faculty
The faculty members are highly qualified and they interact with the students very effectively as per my major in history. The professors of my department are very supportive and help us in our notes. But there are some professors who only teach us in one language which is quite difficult for us
