Good faculty members, great approach for teaching new concepts, faculty is friendly and helps to get new opportunities, available for almost whole day to help students
College is determined about keeping rules and regulations to be followed strictly
Good canteen food, good infrastructure of library

Campus area, conjusted road, very small college fests
Lack of outside exposure making it difficult for creating a network which would help in future
Lack of sports infrastructure and no participation in different colleges competitions

Course Curriculum Overview

Good opportunities from the curriculum to get in real world. Great placement and staff influenced me to choose this course. The curriculum prepares very well for real world applications and academic pursuits Areas of improvement in the course curriculum would be making the lecture more interactive and interesting and reducing the time of lectures throughout the day. Exams are held regularly and the level of exams depends on how difficult the chapters are

The complete cost of education, including tution, service fees and other compulsory charges is 1,12,000/- INR There are different scholarships available for students through the state government schemes

Campus Life

The college helds one annual and one technical fest throughout the year, INNOVISON is the technical event of the college while GANDHARV is the annual cultural event. They are held in the month of March There is a vast variety of books and journals available in Library, students even have access to the e books from library. Classrooms have decent facilities with someclass rooms with smart boards. Honestly the amount of extracurricular activities and sports in college is less, which the college needs to improve in.

Hostel Facilities

I stay in a private hostel nearby the college. Facilities provided in the hostel room are 24/7 electricity, free wifi and a independent washroom for each room. The hostel mess(canteen) has decent and good quality food with variety of food items on menu. The registration process for private hostel is to fill out the form and anti ragging form and the hostel is quite affordable for what facilities they provide.

Hostel Fee: INR 450000 per year

Admission

The eligibility of my course was 80 percentile in Mh-CET entrance exam. You can find the application form, application fees and applications dates for the college on cap portal of Maharashtra government. The college needs to improve the admission process in terms of space,time and payment method.

Faculty

Overall experience regarding faculty is really good, they are student friendly and always use different methods or approach to teach any new concepts. The faculty to student ratio is about 1:30. Faculty is available most of the time, even on holidays to solve doubts and conceptual doubts of students. I've interacted pretty well for this year and they've helped me everytime I went having a doubt.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules.
