Course Curriculum Overview

Examination are held twice throughout the semester - the mid semester examination and the end semester examination. Instrument such as HPLC, chromatography, spectroscopy are included in our curriculum.

Companies such as Nestle , Britannia, Cadbury, fairy lab which is in Noida hire interns from our university. Percentage of students getting placement is 90 percent. Students become eligible from 6th semester to apply for internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete cost of education for my course which is B.Tech Food Technology is 480000 and 120000 yearly. My course is of 4 years and last semester is for internship to make us job ready . Information about various scholarships are provided by the university scholarship cell.

Campus Life

Our university organizes events such as kisan mela , workshops, national conferences , international conferences, annual sports day etc. library and labs are very nice, most of the books related to our curriculum are present in the library which is really convenient.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are good and provide all facility. Our hostel mess is good ...but sometimes they make not good food,but maximum time it is good .In our campus there is not allowed any PG and rented rooms if we study here we stay in hostel rooms

Hostel Fee: INR 65000 per year

Admission

Eligibility criteria for this university is that student should qualify 12th class examination with minimum aggregate percentage and pass relevant entrance examinations. The level of examination can vary from mid level to high level difficulty.

Faculty

Teachers are very supportive and encourage us to perform practicals using instruments present in the lab . Teachers are friendly and approachable, we can approach them when we have doubts related to theory or practicals.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I have applied in Bahara, Shoolini University and Eternal university.I got confirmation from all universities which I mentioned.I choose this college because of good faculty and fees structure.
