The campus is beautiful and has peaceful vibes.
The infrastructure, library , lab and smart classrooms .
Many guest lectures throughout the semester about new technology.

There are not many society and clubs to join.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course : The curriculum is a bit different from other university, it basically covers all basic and advanced subjects . The subjects in curriculum ensures that students have good understanding of new technology . All the labs , classrooms and library are well equipped.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement : I am still a student so I haven't applied for it but according to my knowledge ,there is a placement cell in the university which helps to provide students with various internship and placement opportunities .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee : The fee structure is more affordable compared to many other private universities. Scholarship: The university has a separate scholarship cell on campus for students , they also have a whatsapp group through which students are informed about latest scholarship programs.

Campus Life

Events : sports day and kisan mela is held annually , there are various other events and conferences held in the campus. Library : It is well maintained and has more than 40,000+ books . It also has free wifi , computers and latest journals , magazines , newspapers .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel : The hostel is 5 minutes away from university . The quality of meals is good and nutritional . They make their own bread and jam which is made with whole wheat and is free from preservatives . The food in canteen is also good .

Hostel Fee: INR 65000 per year

Admission : The eligibility criteria for Btech[CSE] typically includes passing class 12th with minimum aggregate percentage along with a valid score in entrance examination like JEE Mains. Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Admission:

I prepared for 2 years then cleared jee mains exam. The preparation was not hard though you need to be consistent with your studies. After the result I filled my counselling on jossa.nic.in with the priorities of colleges and branches. After that there were 7 rounds I got my seat in 6th round.

Remarks:

Great place to study and to have fun. This university really provides you with a plethora of opportunities within the campus as well as abroad. Student exchange program so far is the best thing in this college as we get to go and experience different countries and their culture around the globe
