Life inside TCET

The upcoming demand of the artificial intelligence and data science in the world made my decision to choose this course. The curriculum is totally based on industrial practices and helps us to learn and understand and prepare for the real world applications. The areas of improvement can't be tell as i dont think there is some need of improvement in the cirriculum. In semester exams happen twice a semester and end semester happens once every 6 months.

From 7th semester the students can appear for campus placements. Many companies visits during the year and pick students for their company but they don't have a good package. The placement in thakur college is not worth the fees a bitter and real truth.

Students can easily avail different types of scholarships such as TFWS,SC/ST scholarships,EWS and EBC type of scholarships in the college. Unfortunately there aren't any campus employment opportunities for students. The complete cost of the education without scholarship is about 148500 but it becomes 40% less after scholarships

There are many events in college namely the technical event "ZEPHYR", inter department sports event "TSPARK",inter college sports event "ENERTIA" and the cultural event "SOUJORN". Students from any year can take part in any of the events. The clubs also organise a number of seminars and events which are open for all.

The admission process was smooth and was according to the state norms. There are reservations for minority students and lower class students which help them avail admission with a less percentile too.

The faculty to student ratio is too good as there is 1 faculty for 30/40 students. The faculty uses vast and different resources for teaching which helps students in understanding the concept clearly. Teachers are really approachable and they are ready to help us anytime even after the college timings.
