Course Curriculum Overview
Our syllabus is very precise and accurate as per the need. It covers both technical and management subjects. Our syllabus covers GATE syllabus as well as CAT syllabus. We are provided with program elective and open elective subjects every semester. We choose subjects according to our future goal and attend classes according to our needs
Internships Opportunities
We apply for internships as per our wish in different companies. But our college gives us references when required. We have to complete a minimum of 2 internships on no pay no fee basis in order to appear for placements. We get internship break from 15th may to 15th july during our 2nd year and 3rd year to complete internships and certification courses.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. It generally starts from july month. Over 40+ companies visit our college and average package is 6LPA with highest package of 12LPA. We have a record of 100% placements in CSE-A branch. Both core and non core, product based and service based companies come to our college . Almost 60% students get placed each year. My plans after this degree is to appear for ADANI or L&T as they offer really nice package aling eih goof work life balance.
Fees and Financial Aid
I myself am getting scholarship of 36,000 a year. If you have reservation category, you can get scholarship of 50,000 a year. It helps me gice my fees without depending much on my parents. We also have a well established placement cell consisting of teachers and fee students. I am the Training and placement coordinator of my branch. We are guided about how to talk to HRs and how to attend interview . We also have signed MOU with TPCODL that trains our final year students for 6 months before hirung season.
Campus Life
I must admit i am very proud of the fests of my college. HORIZON as many must have heard of, is the biggest fest in Odisha. We have individual branch wise tech fests and also welcome and farewell of individual brnaches. We have a Annual food festival that is done on Utkal Divas. Usually even semesters in IGIT are all about fests.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel food here is really nice here unlike as usually expected by people. We love the food here. Our menu has different varieties and on special occasions, we have feasts. On shiv ratri or fasting days, we are given fruits and juices. We have large rooms. 5students stay in one room. We are provided with bed, a table, a chair and a rack for each student. We also have open air gym and badminton court inside our hostel.
Admission
We had to appear for JEE or OJEE entrance exam. According to the cut off, we applied for counselling. And were selected for admission. The cut off for BTECH particularly for CIVIL branch goes between 1.5L to 3L all india rank and 2.5L to 6L all india rank for both general and category respectively.
Faculty
We have professors and assistant professors teaching 3rd year and 4th year students. Guest faculties only teach 1st year students. We are given a lot of guidance about GATE, CAT, and BARC exams. Our faculties were bonafide students of prestigious colleges of India. They are supportive. They provide us with notes, PYQs, Presentations for clearing our concepts. They also refer us books to buy.
