Dislikes
- The only fact is thecourse i choose. I opted for science course bsc(h) microbiology and auxh courses don't get immediate placements after graduation.
- Though my college is the best in delhi for this course in DU only 5 colleges have this course(fyi). But there is no placements so be readyto do masters and phd. .
- Du placement fair is more focussed towards arts and commerce rather than sciences mostly top colleges have old science course.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is up-to-date . There is one Generix elective subject too in which you have to study something different from your course and if you do that for 3 sem you get a minor degree for that. Now new Education policy is implemented so there more subject more combinations that you can have and earn credits for that which will help in abroad education. So it's good becoz all new schemes are implemented and best education is given as after all it is the one of the top uni of India.
Internships Opportunities
The placement cell is there which provide us with various internship opportunities. There is internship fair too. You can choose and apply for any job Or internship if your skill matches. Tution fee per year was ?15-16 k approx and for every sem there is examination fee ?1200-1300/ approx. Scholarships are there for meritorious students. The toppers of the whole course gets award worth amount 20k at annual day.
Campus Life
As it is from DU there are many societies dance, music, debate, departmental, writing, anchoring, hindi debate, political etc. So you get enough chance to build your personality. Join as many societies as you want and enjoy but do maintain your grades too. Nss and ncc society is there where you get to connect with community help people . There are many fest which you can go into like in omy college Jassie gill, Jimmy, Vijendra chauhan, Many people have come
Admission
You should have PCB in class 12 . Minimum percentage during my time was for clearing cut off 94% and i got 94.2 for general. Now there is CUET exam so you have to give that and opt for this subjects PCB Everything occurs only choose college during counseling on college website and durng cuet counseling. Reservation is there for obc, ews, sc/st Admission process is quite smooth so no issues.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good. The faculty are good in terms of their knowledge and experience but some are not deserving at all. I repeat only some. Secondly they teach well but only problem is of attendance you have to maintain attendance coz you get grades for it so if you don't care about grades that much then it's fine but if you do maintain a good attendance. There is alumni talks to in which passed out students gives us various advices and suggestions to what to do next.
Other Applied Colleges
Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology)
I opted for college becoz it definitely gave mire exposure. Our college didn't provide internships but it provide plenty of guidance by teachers. They also provided us various research projects.
