Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There are not many FESTS like in Universities but yes curriculum that includes hackathons, debates and other competitions that are conducted for our confidence buildup are good enough for us to stand out and learn to participate. there are plenty of things that are conducted every semester which helps jn both ways , studies and enjoyment.

Internships Opportunities

3

The companies like TCS provide internships for btech students as their backend programs most often and they provide 4-5 lakhs of package. The students who are eligible for their company rules to sit in the exams are given a chance to get an internship here.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 6th semester the students are eligible for internships and are provided with opportunities to get scholarships. The average package I have seen was 5-6 lakhs p.a. and some students even get placed by attempting off campus placements . Companies like TCS etc take about 7-8 students every year after my degree I will definitely go for an internship to gain more experience as a new graduate to explore more jn in future

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships for everyone, and the basic scholarship that I got was a resession of 25,000 from my fee as a student of general category. Hence the other categories get more of it. The fee structure is genuine for a BTech degree of 4 years as it is providing us many things as well. Students form jammu , nepal get scholarships as well.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is not so perfect ofcourse but js decent. There are plenty of clubs like a cultural and a library committee that are th most prominently famous ones in our college and both play a certain role in the work flow of the events our college organise.

Admission

The admission process was quite easy , I had to visit the college with my 10-12 DMC and some personal identity verification photostat and 7 pictures of mine and the advance after they admit in their college was 10,000 and later when the session begin they took a clear fee of 45000 approx. The reservation benefits were not that much but the seats were ofcourse booked by the students before as they paid before for it. There is nothing like an extrance exam but is a scholarship test conducted on-line for locals to get some ressieson mentioned above. It is a noce easy experience tho.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is good , I mean everything is managed in a proper way . all the events are handled very gracefully. All the teachers are great mentors as well and in the first year we are allotted with a mentor who is like an elder sister/brother to us who tells us the correct thing to do and how to manage stuff. Else everything is good for the college in Amritsar providing all the opportunities that others probably don't.

Interview Experience

3

The group discussion is not so prominent in our college as in many private colleges. I met with a councellor who compelled my father to take admission in this college. So there is nothing like a GD or question before admission or for the admission

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
