Likes

The faculty is good, they are friendly and professionals. They help with doubts and are very helpful and provide great guidance
The hostel rooms are spacious with all basic necessities available.

Dislikes

The food in the hostel mess is the worst except the breakfast.
Very restrictive about rules and regulations
Can't even use kettle or iron in the room and they confiscate 'maggi"

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is quite good although I would recommend the students to not depend on just the curriculum for placement. They ask for practical skills and not care about your academic performance. Would recommend trying to study for gate and all

Internships Opportunities

The college provide internship opportunities in Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad. These come under experiential learning. It is given in the 6th semester. And the learning experience is good. Often times the internship is unpaid but it is a great addition to the resume.

Placement Experience

Placement offers are okayish at worst and good at best. Sometimes offers range from 500000 per annum to 5100000 per annum. And not all students are placed. Would recommend going for external placement options.

Fees and Financial Aid

The feeling structure is a bit complicated. There are different categories for fees with category going from 1 to 4 with increasing of 1 lac per annum of fees. If you are getting any stream from the college in category 1 it is worth it. Category is also okay but don't go above it.

Campus Life

There are many club activities. Regular events and performances. Many guest lecturers come for events of different clubs and sports is good with volleyball court and football ground. All the hostel have gym for maintaining fitness

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good but there are some compromises. First food is bad. The mess timing is not very desirable for us. The non AC rooms are literal saunas in summers and sometimes there is water shortage in hostel. Half the time the water is overflowing and the other half time therecis no water

Hostel Fee: INR 134000 per year

Admission

The admission was very simple. First was the VITEEE Exam and then counselling with all the vit's. The students were given full flexibility in what category to choose what branch what institute. Everything was in our hand

Faculty

The faculty is very friendly and helpful. They are all very well educated. The timetable followed is ffcs system which allows us to chose the faculty we want to study from. The professor also help in referrals for internship and all and help us write some research papers too.

After 6th semester you will Elligble for in campus placement and their are many internship and placement providing apps which are connected with our college like Internshala and our college also has own incubation center where students can brings their startup ideas and if they like your startup they will invest on it and student also got chance to get internship on that and got certificate and highest package is of 1.2 cr off campus and Average pacakge is of 5 to 6 lpa and their is basically 85 to 90% placement rate and my plan is to become ai ml engeener and grow in AI area

so in our college 1st year we have 2 semesters and n 2nd year we have 3 semesters and in 3rd year we have 3 semesters so 8 semesters already get completed and students are eligible to sit in placement from 3rd year . You can get internships in 3rd year as well if you have good grades and you are ready to grind . Talking about companies that visit for placements are Delloite , JP morgan Palo alto, De shaw and Co. My plan is to just have good gpa and get job asap

there are not much chances of placement as the student strength has increased drastically, students become eligible for placement from 3rd year, also as per the documentations there are more than 12z companies like hcltech, microsoft etc but not every documentation is correct so the chances of getting placed at campus is significantly low so i am planning to pursue higher studies and opting for gate

Placement Experience:

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.

Life at MITS , Gwalior

Placement Experience:

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. Average packages range from ?3.5 to ? 6 lpa , and some students get higher offer from off campus drives. Overall, the T&P cell of Mits gives every details for the companies coming.

other college i applied were vssut , jaypee noida , cutr, silicon but i choose vit bhopal because i wanted to study outside my state and bhopal was closer . So admission process is you have to give an exam called vitee and to get in to vit bhopal in category you gotta have rank under 45K to study in cse core branch and for AIML branch you need rank under 55K and for studying in Cyber security and cloud computing it should be under 70K . if you get anything above 70k its hard to land in a good cse branch under category 1 fees....Read More
