SDM student review

VTU portion is slightly moderated, little changes here and there but the real-world knowledge we need for industry is lagging. If you compare it to any average college from blore or smtg , you will notice that the tech exposure is very less. But, provided that you can always gain knowledge later this shouldn't be an issue. The semesters are held on time.

One thing I've heard seniors say is that you can get a job easily from SDM and also that if ur skills are a little better than average than you can make up for a good salary. But, at the end of the day you have to work for it . College is for education, not for your placement

The annual fee is 100000. Scholarships are mostly given to reservation students, if you are a general don't expect. I personally applied for 2 but reservation kids with very low scores got them. I'm yet in my second sem so I wouldn't try to speak of placements as such, but one thing from the alumni is that you can be sure that you will get a job from here

The college still tends to make it feel school-ish with strict attendance criteria even when our involvement with co-curricular activities is shown. The only facility in class is fans, don't expect anything better. There are all course books in the library, sports meet are held.

The admission process through comedk / cet is sweet and simple as usual. Reservation kids gain an amazing benefit. The exams here happen once every month (IA ) and the difficulty is slightly above average, I find no area for the college to improve with examinations

The faculty is not much of a problem here , most of the staff are friendly with us while also providing great insights to the subject . But, what I've seen is that programming knowledge given to core branches like EE , Civil , mech and chemical is average.
