Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is very student-friendly. Last year it was not that great but this year it has become very student-friendly, helping students balance theory and practical life. A schedule is given early for help.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

No additional internship opportunities... You get an internship from college in our final year. But the practical knowledge you get in an internship is great as we get a lot of patient intake that helps us to understand the study in a very practical way.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is set by the govt itself for minority students it is almost 16,45,350. For financial assistance, you get a loan from the government of 5 lakh yearly for minority students from KMDC. NSP and SSP scholarships are also available.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is great, as it is a very green campus, a good parking facility, and you get an open amphitheater for meetings and any cultural co-circular activities. Every year you get cultural and sports events to showcase talents. At the university level.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel right now does not have that great facility. It is kinda old. So the hostel was my last choice. I stay at a rented place, affordable though if you get into a sharing basis.. for single rent you can get 5k-6k On sharing you can get 3k-4k.

Admission

Admission is done through KEA NEET Counseling. I got a seat in the mop-up round. The cutoff is lowest in Karnataka when compared to other medical colleges. But the fees are a bit high. But worth it. There is a one-time payment every year.

Faculty

5

The faculty here are the most liked. Every professor every staff and are so kind and respectful. They help and support at all times. No shortage of professors. Good faculty-student ratio. Mentors are provided for each student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
