Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is also quite updated and impressive because it make you industry ready. The curriculum is more relevant for new era courses like AIML and AIDS whcih is in high demand fields in various Indtries currenty. The exam occurs 3 times in a semester i.e. 2 sessional exam and 1 end sem exam. Till 2023 the exam used to be of 75 marks and 25 marks were internal whereas from 2023 onwards the final exam only consist 60 marks for theory exam and remaining 40 marks are internal and even the difficulty is exam is moderate, which increases the chances of good CGPA as most of the students got good internal marks.

Internships Opportunities

2

The internship opportunities are very less, most of the students try for off campus internships after 1st year. The roles offered are different for different branches like data analyst, frontend developer and many more. The stipend again depends on the company.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement scenario is not good in our college. Not much companies visit the campus for placements, mostly bulk recruiter like tcs, ibm, infosys, accenture etc. recruits from this college. But for good placements students better don't rely on college and opt for off campys placements. But still according to data given the average placement of the college is 5 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee for B.Tech as per 2023-2024 is 1,44,000 INR (everything included) which is less as compared to other ipu colleges. Along with that they offer various scholarships like for EWS students whose family income is less than 2.5 lakhs or ration card holders get a financial assistance upto 50,000 INR from the university. Also the top students of the college get a chance to financial assistance from Hana Bank. Rest students can also avail for external scholarships. The employment and healthy competetive environment is where this college lacks, its the main problem of tier 3 colleges.

Campus Life

3.5

Annual fest UTKARSH occurs every March in which various activities and competition are held. This is the biggest fest of this college, even students from different colleges joint the fest. Along with that many hackathons and seminars are organised by various socities like GDSC and IEEE etc. The library is not that huge but you will find almost all course books here, which can be issue for a period of 14 days.

Admission

The admission are based on the JEE ranking. To get admission in this first you have to give JEE Mains and then apply for GGSIPU counselling, the fee of counselling is 2,500INR. The application released after the release of JEE Advanced results or sometimes releases early but remian open for a long time. There is only resetvations for SCs,STs and Defence quota. One can also take admission through management quota even without giving JEE, 10% of the total seats are reserved for management students.

Faculty

4.5

Most of the faculties are Ph.D holders who hold a good knowledge of their subjects and have a good experience and remaining faculties are either MSc. or M.Tech and pursuing Ph.D in their respective disciplines. The teaching faculty ratio is also quite balanced. The faculties re quite supportive and always there to help students either for academics or for extra curicular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
