Course Curriculum Overview

2

It's not relevant to the industry. The course should include courses that meet the demand of the hour, e.g. some data science courses. The course has chemistry which doesn't make sense to me. Exams happen really quickly. There is 50 days gap between mid-sem and end-sem.

Placement Experience

3

Placement is decent for the course. One can get software, analytics or teaching job. The placement, sure has, taken a hit from the on going recession in the IT industry. For the 2022-23 placement session, the average salary offered was around 10lpa with the placement percentage being 92%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees isn't much. Its just 7.5k per semester for the tution fees and other fees include, mess fees, hostel fees, medical fees, etc which can accumulate upto 55k per semester. There are scholarships for deserving students. The semester fees is also relaxed by some fraction for people with perticular low income bracket. Family income less than 1lac don't have to pay any tution fees.

Campus Life

4

The infrastructure is top-notch, and the whole campus is really beautiful. However, the hostel infrastructure can be a bit bad. There are many clubs for any hobby, one would like to take part in. There are arts clubs like Akriti, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

A hostel facility is given to everyone. It's 2 seated for boys. Can be one seated in some cases. HB Hall of Residence provides single bedded rooms. All the others provide two seated. Girls can have upto 5 seated rooms due to the unavailability of rooms. There r hostels being built, which should solve this problem. The rooms r small but livable, the mess is bad most of the time, and the money that goes towards mess probably goes to someone's pocket it seems.

Admission

The admission process is based on jee mains which happens twice a year and is conducted by NTA. The required rank usually revolves around 50k to 70k for gender neutral and unreserved candidate. Female supernumeracy seat can be obtained as high as 140k in special csab round. Reservation is given caste based like all other govt courses.

Faculty

2.5

Professors are really different from one another. So, it's not wise to generalize them and put them into the same box. . As taking Physics courses is compulsory, it impacts us. Mathematics department has good profs except a few.
