Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Course curriculum includes a lot of knowledge about the field of chemical engineering and research work. It doesn't properly prepared me for real world applications or further academic pursuits but I obviously had to keep an eye on it to decide my fate. Areas for improvement are that they must include atleast 1 hour gap for the students to take a break from their hectic schedule everyday seperate form the lunch break. The exams are held here every 4-5 months that is in the end of the semester and mid semester are held in the middle of the semester .

Fees and Financial Aid

I am interested in this course and wanted to pursue my career in some respected ONGC and live my dream job. I got admission here through HSTS councelling by securing a seat in Chemical Engineering Department in the First Round. I went to the University physically and got the admission there. Then, 1-2 days before the start of the semester, I got my hostel room. The only bad aspect about this University is that there is no proper internet connection here and Good aspect is about the well organised campus having everything a person needs like there is a Reading room open 24*7 with Wifi available.

Campus Life

4

The Annual fest of the university is Rhythm where students perform and The Technical fest of the university is Technova which has been cancelled recently due to some political pressure. The library is having a range of books of every course a person can imagine. Also, there is a e- library available where we can download books. The campus offers a variety of sports like badminton, football, volleyball, cricket, Tennis, kabbadi and more outdoor games and also tournaments are organised. Students also run a social media handle with the name of University on it. It sometimes influences the students in a bad way to just enjoy.

Admission

You must be a 12th passed JEE mains cleared student to obtain this course. The admission form and all are available on the site as well as I'm the university itself. Our Faculties are usually PhD scholars during 1st year. Then we might get the teachers that are Master in their specific departments from 2nd Year. The cost to study including every possible expense will come around 2 Lakh INR. The Scholarship name is IICHE which is given to the Year Topper and other Scholarships are given to Special Categories like SC,ST, etc. Semester Exams are held after 4-5 months and the difficulty level is moderate and moreover based on the PYQs. The improvement they require is they must be strict with the documentation process and must invite students only on the basis of JEE mains result.

Faculty

3.5

The Faculty to student ratio is approximately 1 faculty member for 60 students. Some faculty are visiting and some are the permanent which stay in the campus only. They are highly experienced and very kind. They also help us in mentoring for our future. We oftenly interact with our department faculty as well other faculty members for guidance and knowledge about a specific field. They do not hesitate to share any sort of information they have and also defines us the pros and cons of any advice.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is designed to teach the basic and fundamental subjects of computer science to students. In each subject, the difficulty level is below moderate. There are some subjects which meet the industry standards and prepare students for jobs in market. But many subjects are out-dated and their syllabus is not upto standard mark of industry requirements. There is an urgent need to update the syllabus and make it more industry demands-oriented. The teaching methods used are good but some updates can make them more better. Less focus is given on practical knowledge and labs. In each semester, you will have sessional exams two times for all 5 subjects. In each year, there are two semesters and in each semester you will havee final exams in the month of December and May.

Special aspects is it has coding and it is related to technology. It prepares us very good for industries and further academic pursuits. Suggested area of improvement is in c++ coding class they teach us only theory not coding. Exams happens in every 2 months.

Placement Experience:

i think the students become eligible for placements from the 13th term. our first batch hasn't graduated yet. they are due to graduate in 2026. but certain law firms which have visited our college and have offered internships to our students are Khaitan & Co., Luthra, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, IndusLaw. Honestly, I have not decided yet what career i would want to pursue but yes, having a campus placement in hand definitely gives a sense of security. I may pursue an LLM after this or may enter into litigation.
