Course Curriculum Overview

3

My interest for finance & banking influenced my decision to choose bcom(p) but I suggest you to choose bcom (hons) it Will be more profitable This curriculum prepares us well to perform accounting & consulting functions & jobs well in real world as it includes corporate , cost accounting etc.. But in our college they made us study subjects like hindi , management accounting , economics of class 11-12th which is not necessary & not reliable for real world situations. Instead of this they can add some extra subjects like gst , tax etc . Exams takes place after every 4 months ...1 year consists of 2 semesters. Paper is of moderate & hard level difficulty ..

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is 240rs per year & after including different service fees , education fees & other compulsory charges it becomes around 8200 rs per year . Also it hikes from 300-400rs every year . Also we have to pay 510 rs for each sem exams . There are some scholarships for st /sc / obc & pwd candidates available . There are no campus placements available as our placement cell is inactive

Campus Life

3

Our annual cultural festival Milaan held once in a year during april - may We have more than 50000 books & journal in our Library. We have a seminar & e-resoucre room in our college apart from that no classrooms have smart boards or anything in it which is a disappointment for us Our college offers football , basketball & cricket ...Also our football team is the best in du circuit . Our college have more tha 10 societies & clubs for students development , guidance , & to help students enjoy their life in college & learn new skills

Admission

Eligibility - You have to pass class 12th from any recognised board & cuet ug exam with almost 700 or more than 700 marks . Application form , fees & dates - you can find it in exam.nta.ac.in & in delhi university official website also I don't know about reservations as I am? a general category student. Exam will be held once in a year mostly in may - june & difficulty level is hard They can provide more clear information to students as the application form filling process is bit confusing.

Faculty

3.5

In commerce department we have 15-16 members in faculty for almost 180-200 students ( including both bcom & bcom hons) Some of the faculty members are newly recruited this year who have less experience in their fields while some teachers are very experienced & have done phd. In their respective fields. They provide us with notes & pdfs to study .Most of them are available to mentor the students during college time if needed. We can freely approach them & interact with them .

Final year students(5th semester) are eligible for the placements, many famous company recruits, like Deloitte, flipkart, amazon and there's many local companies as well. The highest pakage in 2024 was 24LPA. 20-30% students gets the placement as most of the students opt for Higher studies or get into competitive exams. The jobs offered are based on your course.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i am from a business and commerce background this course automatically attracts me, but these course does includes a deep knownledge on Accounts, Law and management which helps an individual to exel in business or some other fields in life. the curiculum surely prepare as it is a practical course full of real life knowledge which we study in law and management. and the course also have a broader future academic pursuits. The course curriculum and teaching methods is great only in MPA ma'am some times try to be practical and ask question but no one is prepared excpet some few kids some it gets difficult, like explanation part get's messed up i guess due to different perspective. The improvement should be with college timing the college must follow timings like Shaheed Bhagat singh college morning and evening classes which makes the college less crowded and efficient as per student needs. The frequency and timings of exam are ok.

Placement Experience:

Honestly, placements at SRCC are really strong, and that’s one of the main reasons everyone wants to study here. Most students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th or 6th semester, and usually, the internships you do in the 5th semester also help you get a final offer later.

The placements is somewhat what allures people to choose SRCC over other colleges. The average placement this year, was around 1300000+ and the offers were decent from prestigious firms including the Big4, HUL, Myntra, Meesho, Dalberg, Microsoft etc. There were gross offers of about 52 Crores, a total of 520+ offers from 115+ recruiters. Highest placement was around 36 LPA. SRCC is said to provide a 100% placement. I wish to pursue a Masters degree abroad after graduating.
