Had great experiences in doomdooma college

There is not a bad remark for the college. By the way, it is a perfect place for learning. The college is well maintained and very well managed.

The course curriculum is relevant and its exam structure is good. The course consists of six-semester exams and two sessional exams in each semester. Internal assessment marks of 20 include the marks attained from the sessional tests, projects, viva, group discussions, and attendance percentage. The professors and lecturers offer great knowledge also being friendly with the students, creating a good learning environment in the college. The college has been helping me to build professionalism for which I'm very grateful.

There are various internships which are offered to the students to start their professional career. Also, there are online internships available, in which students can work from home or anywhere.

Various events are celebrated in the college. Some national events include teacher dependence day, republic day, Bihu- the festival of the state- Assam, and so on. Various college events are held viz. College week, freshers' day, other sports and cultural events etc.

The admission fees for commerce doesn't exclude Rs. 1000. Apart from that, the poor students are granted free admission for the courses, for which they are required to plant a sapling for each admission. The exam form fillup fees range from Rs. 350 to Rs. 750, excluding fines.

I had opted for an MLA scholarship. The scholarship was introduced on the notice board. I filled out the form, got it signed by the administrator, attached the necessary documents and submitted them to the authority.

The campus has a good environment which attracts most of the students. Greenery surrounds the whole campus, from trees to flowers in the parks. It has enough space with a vast playground, a botanical garden, and some extra space. Its gender ratio is 50:50. Extracurricular activities include quiz and debate competitions, cultural competitions; sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, almost most of the sports games. They are great as they help the students to express their talents in a way or other.

The senior students are very friendly and helpful. They are always helpful to the juniors. Everyone is well mannered with a good attitude.

I got my admission through merit. The admission process consists of the following: 1- form filling process, where students are required to get their names registered for the admission 2- admission, which includes the selection of the eligible candidates. The admission of the degree courses usually takes place after the HSC results are out, that is probably on May or June.

The college has very good faculties, very much talented and motivating to the students. They give the best efforts to help us learn and attain knowledge. Apart from that, the faculty is friendly and with an approachable attitude. They are an inspiration to the students.
