Likes

The college has impressive infrastructure and greatly enhances student experience. The class rooms have projectors and double sliding boards
Dedicated faculty members provides mentorship and guidance.
The college provides good placement opportunities.

Dislikes

The ventilation in classroom is not soo good it feels so hot sitting in class after 12.
The condition of library is so bad since it is not sound proof and also does not have AC so it don't feel to study there
Same problem with canteen the fans there are not switched on this is a big problem in college

I have chosen information technology in course the college is Autonomous so the curriculum is very useful they have deleted the syllabus which is of no use this is benefit the course is more theory based which can be improved.

Many companies have visited Pillai College of Engineering in Panvel, including: Cognizant, IBM, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture,Delloite, TCS, Infosys etc. The highest pacakage is 1500000 and average package is 500000 rs.

The college provides good placement opportunities for students through internships programs, careers fairs the university facilitates valuable connections between students and employeers however u should score good marks

the complete cost of education is aroun one lakh fourty thousands. The college also provides many scholorships the other charges include notes and manuals from xerox center. It has competitive tution rates

The eligibility is by mht-cet and jee mains the admission process is truly CAP round however management seats are also available the admission dates are released by government and the college follows that.

The course curriculum is pretty outdated. I am in cybersecurity specialization and there are only 2 subjects(starting from 2nd year) related to cybersecurity.and those courses are good but the faculty teaching them arent that great. they just read out the ppts, which they dont even share.

Practical College Life with Real Opportunities for Self-Driven Students

Placements start from final year. Students become eligible in 7th sem. Training sessions begin earlier. Aptitude and coding practice provided. Mock interviews are also conducted. Preparation quality depends on effort. Many service based firms visit. Some product companies also come. Roles include developer and analyst. Support and testing roles common. Core jobs limited for some branches. Multiple offers for top performers. Average package is moderate level. Top packages go to few students. Around half students get placed. Others find off campus jobs. Internships improve placement chances. My plan is skill based job.

I don't know much about the placements but I heard that after third year onwards you get placement opportunities . The highest package is 12 lacks and the average package is between 3.5 to 4.5 lacks .

That aspect that made me choose this course that the it very oriented with the project based learning which prepare students for the industry level knowledge and ready for the job . It really prepare for the real world problem which are needed in the industry. Some improvements can also be added as the era is of AI the curriculum can be shaped based on the AI for future proof. The frequency of the exam is every 6 months it is very good to have exams every 6 months as students get to check their knowledge on timely basis the difficultly level is manageable.

Semester 7 is when the placement season starts, and sem 5 onwards you can appear for internship season. The highest package goes in crores but mostly in cse department, others not IT jobs have reletively lower packages avarage being 20 LPA. Almost 60 percent and above students get placed in my guess. I am planning to work in a chemical process design firm.
