Entrance Preview

I originally choose to GITA college because of placement is very good.During the time i have spent there my education has given me a solid foundation for a carrier in core field .and i am so glad i made decision to go to college there.i feel blessed to be a part of it. no more words about the college as its excellence is enough to say much about the college's beauty and strength.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very good. we have practicals for each theory subject to know about the practical implications of whatever we learn in our theory. we have two mid terms , internal practicals, external practicals and then finally the external examinations.

Internships Opportunities

yes, the college provides the internship for the students in various companies. it is an integral part of B.Tech program. it also gives the students an exposure of industry before actually entering in that industry. students apply for the various internship in other companies and college gives them the recommendation letter for the same.

Placement Experience

5

Placement in the college are very good .About 85%of the students got placed this year.THE Highest salary offered was 4.5LPA.Around 40 companies including Infosys,L&T, TATA STEEL and some other companies visited this year for placement. There is pre-placement training which provides a platform to improve ourselves.which is also very useful to prepare ourselves for upcoming companies.

College Events

4.5

There are different events are celebrated in GITA like technical event and cultural event. Tech Fest is the one of them. In Tech fest the technical skills of the students are evaluated The major event fest of the college is extremely joyful and thirlling. It lets every student to interact with others. The main thing is that there is no ragging and seniors are very interactive.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible. we have only 85000 fees for the whole year in b.tech programme. this much amount is feasible for both rich and poor. therefore GITA college of Engineering always try to enhance more education among poor people who are deprived of education just because of money.

Fees and Financial Aid

college provides a good scholarship for the students who need it. also the students can get education loans for their studies. Also the college gives freedom to students for submitting some amount of their fees at a time and the other amount whenever it is feasible for the parents.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel facility is good. the hostels are neat and clean. The mess food is hygienic. also we have safe drinking water. we have many indoor game facilities inside the hostel itself like snooker, table tennis, chess, carrom etc. we enjoy a lot in the hostel. also we have well furnished rooms, with a study table, almirah, bed for each student.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini network of the college is good. they have record for every pass out student and we can take help from any of our senior anytime. also we can personally message or contact our seniors whenever we need any sort of help.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very nice and easy. it is designed in such a way that the students are well prepared for the external exams before they actually start. its a great help to the students. we have two mid terms, two internal practicals and one external examination.

Admission

I gave OJEE exam after my 12th. and I opted for this college because I have heard much about this particular college. it was also near to my house which made me so glad that I could be able to study in such a good college near my hometown. one or two of my relatives have also studied from this college and are doing great jobs in the corporate sector. so it enhanced my chance of taking admission in this college.

Faculty

4.5

Teachers behave in very respectable and friendly manner and we found it very helpful. They explain in very good manner so that students can catch the topic in avery short time and remember it.Every faculty suggest us to enjoy college life alonng with studies.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
