Course Curriculum Overview

Course needs to be updated to the recent trends in the global job market . The syllabus followed is still according to the schedule made QP years ago or more . The thesis papers in the college remains where it is as it is. Teaching methodologies by professors having field experience is very good and easy to grasp .

As I am currently pursuing first year of my undergraduate program. I am unable to access the oncampus internship opportunity so I have to wait 3 more years to opt among the high competetion among the students to win TCS ion or daad mitacs opportunities

Campus placements are availabale on campus via interviews which are very limited to highly performing students diring the selection process. Required cgpa is 8.5 to get a decent job opportunity and get forward in the college life properly with a high package

Fees and Financial Aid

Recent hike in mess fees was opposed by all the students of NITR community and the negotiation was handled to reduce the hike and in terms of fees the college is legible . Scholarships are easily acceaible tk students studying here .

Campus Life

Fests are conducted once in every month atleast and there are many flagship fests such as INNOVISION, NITRITSAV, RUBARU, AND Vridhhi. College life is very peaceful and calm without any tension and life is chill and competitive

Hostel Facilities

A separate hostel for first year is allotted VS HALL OF RESIDENCE and there is literally no ragging even for fun , there should be more interaction between seniors and freshers which is missing with this separate hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

To enter this college one has tp work hard to clear JEE mains and get a seat through Josaa or csab. The selection rate is very less and students having AIR less than 800pp get alloted to this institution.

Faculty

One professor teaches to atmost 150 students at a time . The classes are not that important according to the faculty . Professors are easily accessible to ask doubt if students are very enthusiastic and keen to attend classes

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

KIIT:place where students chase their dreams.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester onwards companies visit campus and recruit students for internship. This internship season goes upto entire 7th semester. Many companies like amazon Deloitte cognizant and many other startups visited the campus.highest package was 42lpa and average package for computer science was 9 lpa. Around 70 percent student got placed.i want to get a good job in a good company.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

So its better to get a job via campus placement rather than trying off-campus

From 6th semester onwards wards students are eligible for campus placement.it provides 100% placement guaranteed to the students who were eligible and sit for the placement drive. Big tech companies like ,amazon, samsung, Capgemini,minetree,infosis,adani wlvisit the campus. The highest package offered in 52 lpa The average package in KIIT is around 6-8lpa And the lowest package offered in 3 lpa. Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.
