- I think some faculties lack quality. For the amount of institution fee it feels like a risk.
- Sometimes the academic pressure is high. But you can manage it

Course Curriculum Overview
The course consists of 8-semesters for a span of 4 years. In 1st year (sem-1 & sem-2) you will generally study basics for engineering. You have subjects like physics, chemistry, electronics, electrical , communication skills. Also you will have lab subjects. The curriculum is like main 2 exams . Misdem examination for 30 marks and end sem examination for 50 marks. Each subject carries 100 marks in total. The res 20 marks are through assignment ls, quiz, teachers assessment and attendance. The exams are average level. You have to be consistent with the lectures and can get 8+ cgpa. Some faculties are avregae and there are few faculties who have an extravagant skill for teaching. In the 4the year(sem-7 and sem-8) are deicatedly for intership and some academics. So the academics and curriculum will help for a real life application and placements. But you have work hard and build skills in order get opaced well in good companies
Internships Opportunities
You can check the placement statistics in the college websites. Some good companies will always come for intership recruitment every year. Oracle, Media.net, Dell . Meadia.net have provided a stpend of 1lakh last year.
Placement Experience
The placements are decent. Compared to other IIITs it is this institute jas got a better placement. Of course we can't compare it with IITs but still competetive with slme avrage NITs. Generally 80-85 % students get placed. The average package is around 10 LPA. Again it will vary according to your branch and skills. The highest pavkege evr got was 48LPA. There are some good recruiters like Oracle, siemmens, Dell etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the 1st year the tuition fee is 78000 , 2nd year- 85000, 3rd year-91000, and 4th year- 98000. You have pay the amount each year for each sester. Son generally the fees for sem-1 is 125600(which inculdes some caution deposits, hostel fee, otheer charges) . And the reast carries on. So a total of about 9.5 lakhs will be your fee for 4 year of btech degree. Mess charges should pay seperately. Financial aids and scholarships are available mainly for odisha candidates.
Campus Life
The main annual tech-cultural fest name is Advaita. This year the centre attraction was Arman Malik. So yeah pretty good stars are being brought by the coordinator which are mainly students themeselves. Also many events are conducted throught every year. Gaming championship, hackathones, free styles, some fun activities etc. The vollege life is decent. I don't ponder much on it. But yeah you can enjoy it.
Hostel Facilities
Every student have to stay in hostel since it's a residential institute. The hostel rooms are pretty decent. In 1st and 2nd year you will get a 3-seater. Each person is provided with a coat,almirah ,table and chair. Teh rooms are not that big but adjustable. You can move to a single room especially for students with higer cgpas. But there will be a hike in the hostel fees if you are applying for a single seater.
Admission
The admission is through Josaa base on JEE-mains rank. Last year cutoff for general category in EEE branch was 94ile. In IIIT-Bbsr the 50% seat is reserved for Odisha candidates and rest for all over India through JoSaa. Generally JEE-mains hapoens in 2 sessions; session-1 in January and session-2 in march/april. It is a popular entrnace exam for engineering colleges. There will will be 90 questions in total (maths,chem and physics each of 30 questions) and you can attend maximum of 75 questions. Every correct answer bear +4 and -1 for incorrect answer. Usually marks above 160 are considered to be a good marks but again it depends on the number of students who will write exam in that year. You can refer to nta site and josaa site regarding admission procedure and allotment. Also you can apply for jee mains in nta site.
