Course Curriculum Overview

4

As for tourism it was a vast field were many jobs opportunities are available and history also a fun subject with lot of knowledge. Tourism has a vast valuable information and knowledge we need to help people in travel industry . We need to have information about the map and name of states and no.s of states present and the teaching method of MCC helps alot to understand these subject alot easier and nicer and give us many more knowledge related to the subject that we have no ideas apart from the main subject other subject also nicely and easily taught but French is a little difficult for me but if I try harder I can make it easier for myself. For MCC their is 3 exms: 2 CIA exm first one written and second one is online and the third exm is our end sem exm, for 1 sem we have 5 months period and I think it's nice and adaptable

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee increase policy I don't know much but for every course there is different fee structure suitable to the course which is nice and we can pay the fees in installment also for the particular year sem. For me for my course including my admission fee I have to pay 88000 in total which we pay in installment as we first pay 55000 at the beginning and now my end sem exm for 2nd sem is going to start so i clear my outstanding fee i.e 32000 and i think it's helpful for me and if any student is suffering from any problems than the college authority is always ready to help them in any possible way

Campus Life

4.5

In particular one sem there will be two compulsory fest ethnic day is done in every sem and many seminar regarding any subject is also done, they also invite many famous personal to talk about their experience and field they r working. MCC also encourage their students in extracurricular activities and support them to do their job nicely without neglecting their studies. Each class have projectors and have all the required equipment and many class for all the courses and each department have one day to celebrate its own subject where students r giving to showcase their talents and we have many association also which help to give showcase their talent in every possible way and teacher also encourage students to join as much as association so we can learn and showcase our talents

Admission

First I went to MCC online portal and fill out my application form and after 2-3 days I got response saying I got selected and there will be an online interview due to the condition in Manipur we don't have any net so they compromise for me and ask to do the interview at the phone call. So at evening one teacher from tourism department call me and started ask related to the subject like why did I choose it and what do i know about subject and how it will help me persue my future career and she was so kind enough that she started asking about the situation in our state and ask me if I was safe and sound she also ask me about my traditional and cultural related question and my hobby, I told her that I like to dance so she ask q related to dance like what is the name of the dance form use in Manipur and everything all these q was easy and I was prepared but I was nervous but ma'am help me alot to calm me down and lastly she asked me if I get selected will I get enroll in MCC n i said yes

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
