Course Curriculum Overview

The course included all the bassics for getting educated in the field.The curriculum is published by KTU.The curricullum does not include much practicals which is needed for the current proffessional needs. Including more practical knowledge and theory on latest technologies and languad=ges can improve the curriculum

Class Size: 900Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees varies from the way we get the allotment. If the allotment is merit the fees will too low between 20000 -40000 Management kota is 75000, and others gets more.Many scholarships are available. All scholarships provided by the kerala and central government is accepted Union Chairperson

Campus Life

All celebrations are usually conducted in the college All cultural and regional festivals are celebrated.Colllege day, Union Day, Arts festival and different celebrations are conducted in the college. Sports is getting better year by year IEDC, NSS clubs are active Encon clubs are active

Admission

The admission process for engineering enthusiasts involved meeting the eligibility criteria outlined on the college website. The application form,along with details such as fees and application dates, was readily available online. Reservation benefits were not availed. Entrance exams like keam,jee are considered if written. Can get admission through keam allotment.Sports Qouta is available for students with calliber in sports.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

From 6th semester onwards students are eligible for internship and placement opportunities. Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

CSE student at JEC

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
