Likes

It has Excellent labs for Respective branches like mechanical, electrical etc
It has Both outside and inside canteen like facility for seprate snacks and lunch
Good Toilet facilities and library. So it is

Dislikes

Its not 100% Clean around college and there plastic waste
There is not seprate auditorium for Programs there is only one open auditorium for every main purpose
The system of teachers giving marks to students

Course Curriculum Overview

I liked activity point scheme in this curriculum and so i chosed mechanical engineering course and university Timing of exam is 3hr for all exams some subjects we cant finish exam in that time by our confusing

Internships Opportunities

Vajra, infopark company, sachindra and more i only know these. There are projects in final year for students and if we do it we can do in perfect In this internships is very important to our college student need to do in every year once

Fees and Financial Aid

First of all i joined college in Fee waiver option so i have only 25000/ year but others my batchmates have around 55000 to 60000 Admission fees is around 5000 , Lab fees for exams is 420 . i get in merit so i have scholarships like E grantz

Campus Life

Overall experience is excellent not bad for me. Theres is many clubs like music, encon, nss, etc Its all excellent groups and its activeness is perfect.. Sports also good its has chess, kabaddi, football etc. If we join sports we can go to national level

Admission

I only appiled for other 2 colleges christ and sahrdaya but i got merit seat in universal engineering college so i chose the first option Comparing to other colleges it has excellent labs and infrastructure

Faculty

The faculty is very friendly type to all students but not all. The faculty name Sarath is liked for me.. It has Good behavior to me and the faculty name Kannan, i didnt like..has different rules for marking scheme There are 2 Important exam series. Some exams difficult according to student otherwise its easy 40% students fail to clear the exams Course curriculum is good

Night Life

There is library, one cafteria, it is excellent and iam not in hostel i dont know its experience Campus is opening from 9am to 4:30pm. I did nt enjoy night life in college so i cant tell what is its experience

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
