Library- The most calm place in the college. Well equipped with books and internet connectivity.
Friends- Batch mates will help you in academics.

Dislikes

Less technical exposure - number of technical events and outreaches are less.
Irregular classes - Classes may be irregular due to certain reasons.
Drinking water facility - Drinking water facility is minimum.

Course Curriculum Overview

ECE is the evergreen branch of Engineering. Course is recommended for students with interest in electronics theory and practical sessions. No prior information is required. Plenty of online classes are available to help you with your course curriculum. There will be two series exams followed by university exam. The difficulty level of exam ranges from medium to hard.

Internships Opportunities

Internships offered from the college is comparatively low. However students have individually find out some of the internship opportunities. Placement cell have bought some internship opportunities for the third year students. But the procedure is little bit tough.

Placement Experience

Student can appear for campus placement from 7th semester. IT companies are recruiting more students through campus placement than core companies. Q Burst, Tata Elxsi, Qspiders, Kodnest, Gulf Asia are the some of the key companies recruited in the recent past. Percentage of students getting on- campus placements are less from the records. Many from the batch are planning for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fee is Rs.10000 per year for general category. Students can apply for various scholarships like E- Grants, Samunathy, Minority scholarships etc. These scholarships will be a financial aid for your studies. Internships and placements are provided from the placement cell of college.

Campus Life

This college is for those who are ready to create. Sports and extracurricular activities are average. Technical and non technical societies are active in this college. Every class is well occupied with smart technologies. Library has enough books and journals for subject reference.

Admission

One of the Government Engineering Colleges in Kerala under APJ ABDUL KALAM Technological University. Situated in the most beautiful site in Kerala. The atmosphere and climate cherishes your mood. College gives you plenty of opportunities in clubs and events. Sadly placements and technical exposure is less. No academic pressures, recommended for any self learner. The results are pretty well in the recent past. Being the one and only Engineering College of Wayanad district, it serves the community and people. Clubs like NSS are doing great to serve the people here.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
