Sometimes management may not function well.
No outlet like Domino's, KFC, McDonald's inside the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The first year is common for every branch, which includes almost every branch's courses. There are two semesters in a year. All first years are divided into groups (we had 20 groups each group having almost 30 students) and half of the groups have subjects like ED, Chemistry, etc. while the other half have Physics, Electrical, etc.

Internships Opportunities

Although I am in first year, our seniors from 3rd year usually take intership through TPC during their summer break. On campus intership is quite popular among CS (and related branches), MNC and Electrical branches in companies like Google. In other branches people usually prefer off campus interships.

Placement Experience

IIT Patna is known for its placements throughout the nation. With an average package of around 28LPA of EEE branch and 38LPA of CSE branch, the college's overall average package is somewhere around 23-24LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is divided into various sections as follows: Tution fee : 100000/sem Academic fee : 6000/sem Institute resource fee : 7500/sem Hostel fee : 5000/sem Transport fee : 1500/sem Gymkhana fee : 5000/sem

Campus Life

The campus life is great with four big annual fests, many cultural, technical and sports clubs. We practice for inter-iit and other inter college competitions which is fun. But managing academics and clubs can be a bit hectic sometimes.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good. Rooms are quite big, manageable for triple sharing, mess food is quite good. 24/7 electricity and qater supply is there. Have basic facilities like washing machines, lifts, water coolers etc. But caretaker is lazy is get them repaired timely which sometimes is a big headache.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

To get admission to the college, you need to qualify JEE Advanced. I got admission to this course with an AIR around 6,500. The admission is done through josaa councelling. Four the four year ece course, the expected cutoff would be around 5k.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like texas instruments,samsung, accenture,Amazon,keysight technologies,Deloitte.L&T, bosch,tech Mahindra and many more. Highest package for batch 2024-25 was 41LPA offered to cse student.avg package is of 10LPA. Percentage of students placed here is almost 85 percent. Look for a job after getting the degree.

The average package of all courses is around 8 lakhs. But in ee average package is 9 lakhs and highest is 30 lakhs . Student will eligible after 3 rd yr and take ppo . The company thet visit regularly is amazon , Flipkart, Google,hpcl ,mahendra ,Tata etc The placement percentage of Ee 2025 is 93%

Course Curriculum Overview:

there is not too much workload so you can work on yourself ,thats the best part of this college . there are new subjects introduced and they are revised so that we can prepare for real world problems . more competitive events should be introduced and they should be reviewed . exams are not that difficult but you have to study to pass. there is enough time to prepare . the exams are scheduled after 6 months . there is enough gap during exam also.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT Patna is decent and i didn't heard any bad news regaring bad placement from senior and to my tech senior placement percentage is 80.88% after this placment percentage i thinking to start startup.

So basically as I came to IIT for btech... It take entrance exam called as the jee mains and jee advanced.
