RSET college review for btech

I would rate the curriculum 8 out of 10. It is based on the curriculum provided by KTU. The curriculum is suitable for basic engineering degree and the college has recently improved the curriculum to match the current demands. The basic mode of teaching include PPT presentation or by reading the theory portions by the teachers. Explanation are generally done after giving notes. During the end of the semesters there is rush to complete the portions which is not appreciated. Also the arts and sports section of the college requires more attention. The study material provided are good at covering the syllabus and providing a small insight of what more to learn. The timming of exam are not good as it is difficult to prepare for exams which are kept twice a day consecutively.

The internship opportunities are available to interested students and is not mandatory for all. The college is situated near infopark kochi and hence there are internship programs available near campus. There are also international student exchange programs. They generally take 1 lakh as quotient deposit in addition to the 85000 as the normal fee during the first semester. There is also extra special fee taken during first semester. In case of late fee payment there is a fine. The complete cost education with hostel may range arround 800000. There is a 50% discount on tution fees for students with 10 cgpa in each year.

The social events conducted by the college do not attract the students. Most of them are pretty average. There are a lot of professional societies available in the college for tech related activities. There is also students clubs which organise various events for activity points.
