What Students Say
Likes
- The hostel and overall campus experience
- The library and the access to good reference books
- The friendly environment between faculties and students
Dislikes
- The area where the university is situated is pretty much a dull area with not much to explore
- The accessibility to any good shops aren't much good
- The food which is being provided could be better but it's always subjective to the individual itself
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum provided in the University is actually on par with the courses in the higher NLUs, the course curriculum is always updated time to time, for example in the case of Constitutional Law it always changes as new amendments come from time to time , the exams of the university are pretty straightforward and isn't much of hassle if you have the habit of studying atleast occasionally
Internships Opportunities
The university offers alot of internship through the internship and placement cell which offers internships from Companies and big firms like Bajaj, Luthra&Luthra , Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas etc. and placement are also given from the same and with a fairly good package of 6-8LPA as a fresher
Placement Experience
The placements are fairly good with atleast 6LPA packages being provided and mostly students opt for litigation and as there is internship culture from the first semester itself, students get placed by themselves as they intern in reputed companies and firms, my plan would be to be part of company or firm , alot of companies including Bajaj have come for placements in the campus as well as internship calls
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition for me while joining the university was 3,80,000 which is subject to 10% increment on a yearly basis, although the fee in the first year is pretty steep due to the caution deposits and other things, second year onwards it's 2,80,000 , the includes hostel fees as well, mess fee is paid on semester basis and costs approximately 5000 per month, scholarships are provided by the state and depends from where you belong, placements are fairly good considering how new this NLU is, alot of centres are to be a part of and overall a great academic experience considering it's fairly new
Campus Life
There are alot of centres to be a part of as well as cultural events happen on most of the semesters and events freshers and farewell happens on yearly basis , library relatively new but has a good collection of reference books , sports is also given importance in the campus,
Hostel Facilities
All the students are allotted a room where two students stay together and are provided the tables chairs and cupboards, a wifi router is provided as well and air cooler, the rooms are with balconies and windows as well, pretty spacious for two people and the washrooms are the common ones in the hall which is well maintained, the meal quality is pretty good and taste would absolutely subjective. The affordability of the hostel is actually excellent according to the amount being paid
Admission
The eligibility is completely based on the rank you secure in CLAT examination, the application forms are always available in the consortium website as well as the respective NLU websites, Reservations benefits are available but I personally wasn't eligible for any, the exam of CLAT is comparatively easy when compared to other competitive exams but it's hard as well as current affairs play a crucial role as well, the admission process was fairly easy and straightforward
