The concept of Projects and Presentations.
Various Events which are held by the Department.

Dislikes

Difficulty in procurement of some documents.
Lack of some facilities like the water coolers are limited.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is overall very good. We are taught subjects of B. Com als well as Law together which helps in developing our multitasking aspect and critical thinking also. The curriculum also includes street play to raise awareness among the public.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the Department is admission as it a self financed department. Initially, the amount of fee was something else but over a period, it was increased to meet the expenses incurred by the department.

Campus Life

The overall experience of the Campus life is great. We get to learn many new things, make new friends and see things from a different perspective. Sports are an integral part of the campus life and one should try to indulge at least in one sport.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are overall very good. There are provisions for different sports like badminton, volleyball, etc. and there is a gym also for the residents in the hostel. The food quality of the mess is average. The hostels are allotted on merit basis after the admission process is complete.

Hostel Fee: INR 12040 per year

Admission

The admission process was very easy. I first applied for the entrance exam online and after that I got my admit card and gave the exam. The eligibility for this course is 12 Class pass and a student of any stream can apply for the same

Internship opportunities at PU Chandigarh.

Placement Experience:

Placement is not as good as compared to other universities. It provides low package like 35000 per month . Median salary is 2.2 lakhs . Placements also depend on the CV of the students and marks he/they got in the university exams. In law particularly , lesser number of student pursue placement in Panjab University. The average package offered is 3 - 4 lac per annum . Some of the companies that frequently visit are Ernst & young , Infosys , wipro , vodaphone , Adobe etc .

The Best Institute for B.A. LL.B

Remarks:

The Institute and the University are the best University in the entire region. Management of the University is quite cooperative in giving solutions to any issue faced by students individually. The system is so transparent in the University that anyone can meet directly the hon'ble Chancellor of the university.

Remarks:

Negative: The Department lacks somewhere in the Infrastructure, as in the number of class rooms are less and there’s no proper parking for students. Positive: If you make it to UILS, than I don’t think so u’ll ever regret for anything such is the atmosphere and the ambience and that is the reason why a student even forgets about the lack of infrastructure of the department.

Looking forward for something more

Remarks:

More interactive sessions, more no. of events can be organised. Non- teaching department can be more humble and should be in fact Professors should not be biased, which they are Overall experience is good, I will be taking no. Of lessons from here along with me Till far, it has been a blended mixture of study,events, competitions & lifetime learning which in all have resulted in personality growth

HONEST OPINION: UILS, Panjab University, Chandigarh

To get into the University Institute of Legal Studies, PU, Chd, any candidate who has already passed or appeared in March 2023 in the 10+2 Examination of the CBSE, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognised Board/University shall be eligible to appear in the entrance test for BA LLB and BCom LLB. For getting admission, the candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD) from any recognised Board/University. The admission to BCom LLB shall be on the basis of merit of the Entrance Test (50%) and 10+2 marks (50%) along with weightage for commerce subjects and other admissible weightage. The application form is available on uglaw.puchd.ac.in detail of steps to be followed. The last date to register for the same is 10th April 2023 and 17th April 2023 to complete the form.
