Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is well made keeping in view the demand from industry, the labs are also well prepared to make students understand know how of technology being followed in the industry.

Internships Opportunities

This college doesn't provide Internship or any stipend. One has to pursue outside to complete their internship and the organization they choose for internship may or may not provide stipend.

Placement Experience

2.5

The college do have Training & Placement department. Companies do come for the placements but don't do on mass scale. At my last year of the college 4-5 companies but they have took only 15-20 students that year. However, one could have good options in University, they are having good companies visiting for the placements like HCL, TCS, L&T.

College Events

3.5

Fresher's Party, Farewell Party, Tech fest and some small sports event are celebrated in the college. I have enjoyed fullest of life during these events. There were number of activities in which one can participate. Fresher's party and Farewell party is a one day event, where as Tech is of minimum 3 days.My favourite part of the Tech fest was the gaming competition, it was 3 day event and i could only make to the second day, but even that too was so much fun.

Fees and Financial Aid

This college do offer scholarship for Sikh Students and have kept 50% of the seats for them, for this they conduct their own entrance exam.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is good, there are quite restrictions on free movement in the campus. Gender ratio is around 50-50. Mostly Hindu & Sikh Students are there, a small portion of Kashmiri student's are there.Infrastructure in labs is good and well maintained, there is also sports room available where one can avail faclities of TT, Snooker.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
