Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum in vit is very great . It focus not only on the skills but also applying the skills to the real world scenarios. All the course curriculum is based on real world scenario . Which help us to better in the particular field. Mathematic is main in data science.adding basic mathematics in first semester will be more helpful for the student from other departments.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 82000 per year

Internships Opportunities

For data science , the companies like sunshine,federal bank, tcs are coming almost every year for recruitment purposes with different t packages like dream, super dream and regular offer. But we are only the third batch of datascience we don't know that much about these placements. But as per senior information .the placements and internship is average for data science.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement in 4th semester. Where first three semester is full of academics. However the students will register for placement. Almost 60 to 70 % of the students are placed as per he previous year placement report of seniors. I plan to get placed in high reputation company after my degree .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 82000 for the first year and 86000 for the second year including all the fees. Vit provides lots of scholarship for the eligible students. Also they are providing scholarships for rank holders which is pure motivation for students.

Campus Life

Social life in vit vellore is just awesome , which contains lots of events,festivals they celebrate almost all the festivals like Pongal,Diwali,and more important event is riveria which is great and very exciting. There are many clubs and chapters in which is more exciting

Admission

Eligibility for msc in datascience is undergraduate in computer science, mathematics,physics with 60% ,the admission is purely based on the undergraduate score,the rank will be alloted for each individual based in the undergraduate score . There is no entrance exam. Min 8.5cgpa is require for getting conformed admission.

Placements are not good literally since companies will offer only 3 lpa and below 20 % of the students only gets placed , generally students from 4 th semester are eligible for placements for geology students companies like RAMCO, some other cement industries and GIS based companies will recruit students based on their skill, I'm already working in Geophysical based company after completing my degree I will use that experience to get placed in top oil oriented company

the honest vit review.

Viteee 2021 was held in online mode. there were many cases of cheating because of which the administration then didn't allow zooming in and showed the registration number as the watermark in multiple places. the cutoff went really high as the exam was held before jee and everyone wanted to secure a seat in a good private college. the exam server was v poor it had even crashed in one slot. all the details about the admission fees dates and forms were available on the official site. I am aware of students who are aware of nothing but still are in category 1 in CSE because they cheated and weren't caught, this really boils my blood because even after studying so hard I got category 2. the entrance is usually held offline mode but this was held in online mode and was nothing next to faithfully done....Read More
