Likes

The teaching is very good and staffs are more friendly.
Giving permission to attend other college events.
The place were the college is located is free from traffic and pollution.

Dislikes

Some department staffs are not student friendly.
Bus facility for college is less and available at certain time only.
Practical exams are too tough to pass and more stressful.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is really excellent and most of it covers the practical part. The applicable knowledge is tested rather than book knowledge.Yearly one exam is conducted and the practical exams would be much tougher.

Internships Opportunities

Intership can be done in the college after the completion of the course.Stifund will be provided by the government. Separate hostel and mess is available for the interns.Inters used to work in every department to gain experience and to find their interest.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college,the fees per year is very much low.It varies from 4500 per year to 8000 per year.The scholarship amount is for the first graduate and the people having less annual income.

Campus Life

Many festivals and fests are conducted by the students.Many books are available in the library and students are free to use it.Art club,quiz clubs are available.Sports and other extra curricular activities are supported by the faculties.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility are way good for a government setup.The rooms are spacious with good ventilation and lighting.Meal quality are above average and we can manage to eat and somedays it will be extraordinary.

Hostel Fee: INR 7480 per year

Admission

The admission process was through counselling.The application was released in the MGR University website and it should be filled and submitted along with the necessary documents.The entrance exam I took was NEET and the cutoff mark was 550 out of 720 for merit seat.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of my interest in the ortho department. The student ratio is about 200. Qualification of the faculty & review teaching method is a ph.d and first class. It is difficult to pass but we follow daily classes and are interested in our dept.
