Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really good,up to date and matches current industry standards for Mechanical Engineering. We have 4 months for 1 semester. After the 1st month, we have Quiz 1, after 2nd month we have Midsem , after 3rd month we have Quiz 2 and at the end of the 4th month we have Endsem.
Internships Opportunities
All good companies come to college and pay handsomely to the good students. IITG is a boom for those who are interested in research interns. However intern season is highly competitive beacuse of state of the art peer group.
Placement Experience
Because of industry synchronized courses, it is very easy for students to get jobs within and outside campus. Those who are interested in research also has opportunities and support from college to study in foreign universities. Average placement rate is around 95% with students getting placed at high paying jobs and good positions from diversified fields.
Fees and Financial Aid
General Students with NO reservations: Tution fees 1 lakh per semester, Other fees: around 35000 per semester which includes folding lodging and everything. The only available scholarship is the IMS scholarship which waives off the tuition fees if the person stands 1st in the particular year in terms of YPI. For students with reservation: partial fees deduction based on Income status. For ST/SC students: NO tuition fees
Campus Life
Alcheringa: Annual Cultural Fest, March 2nd week Techniche: Annual Techno management fest, September 1st week Library is well equipped with latest as well as classic books in all fields of Academia and leisure reading. Online journals are also available free of cost. Many paid softwares are available free of cost for the students of IITG. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards and black boards with good lightings. We also have state of the art sports facilities. We have dedicated rooms for student clubs of every field for technical, cultural and sports. All the costs are covered by the institute.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are equipped with single rooms. All students in the hostel have single rooms. The rooms are well furnished with study table, bed, book shelf, wardrobe and Almirah. The washrooms are very clean and updated with modern flush. Mess food is state of the art better than any restaurant in the area. We have 24/7 security for the student safety.
Admission
Preparation for admission starts 4 years prior to the admission tests, JEE Mains (preliminary) and JEE Advanced. Eligibility for giving JEE Mains is to be minimum 16 years of age. Eligibility for JEE Advanced is cleaning JEE Mains with 90 percentile.
