Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for this course because of my strong interest in comprehending software and electronics operations. Although the curriculum meets expectations and benefits from supportive faculty, there's also encouragement to pursue personal projects or entrepreneurial endeavors. Assessments are conducted every semester, with midterms spanning 1.5 hours and end-of-semester exams extending to 2.5 hours
Fees and Financial Aid
Hostel fees differ based on the accommodation type. Non-AC hostel costs 28k per semester, AC costs 56k, and premium AC costs 70k. Education fees stand at 17500 per semester. The total expenses for a BTech degree range from 20 to 25 lakhs, contingent on the hostel selection. Moreover, students ranking under 1000 in the KIITEE exam are eligible for a scholarship.
Campus Life
My experience with campus life at KIIT has been lively and enriching, with a strong emphasis on both academic and extracurricular pursuits. The annual festival, held in February each year, stands out as a highlight, attracting students from various fields to partake in a range of cultural and technical activities. In terms of academic support, the library boasts a diverse collection of books and journals, catering to a wide array of interests and research needs. The accessibility and availability of these resources greatly bolster students' academic pursuits. Classrooms are equipped with modern amenities and technological advancements, elevating the learning experience. Interactive whiteboards, audio-visual aids, and high-speed internet access all contribute to creating a conducive environment for learning and growth.
Admission
Applicants need a minimum aggregate of 60% in their 12th board exams to be eligible. The application form is available on kiit.ac.in, and there's no exam fee. Initially, the exam was held online in five phases from February to August, with home proctoring. However, it appears to have transitioned to an offline format, with KIIT as one of the exam centers, based on my understanding.
