Things to know if you want to take admission in government degree college, Dharamshala

The first thing that took me to take admission admission in this college was that it was a government college where the faculty was highly educated and having great achievements in their respective fields . The course provided there was apt enough to get admission into higher studies and use the knowledge gained during the course. If the course curriculum is updated to be through ICT it Will be much more easy to learn the course easily and understand it in a better way. As it was semester system so the exams were conducted after every 6 months of period which was easy to grasp the syllabus thoroughly.

The overall fees of bsc in gdc dharamshala is rs. 3700/yr and the accommodation is excluded from it . In case of hostel facility you need to have a higher percentage in 12th class and it is also based on your time of admission if you take admission on time then only you can get hostel otherwise you have to take pg Or rooms outside which costs you approx. 6000/month . Scholarship are on category basis otherwise nothing but if you qualify the course with higher percentage you will get scholarship of approx. 2lakhs

In the hostel , every festival is celebrated and in the campus you enjoy the farewells,fresher's parties then student unions functions etc but no annual function is observed . You can take part in every competition being organised there like NCC events, then many more competitions. Technologically it was not up to the mark which is to be improved. You can take vocational courses as well . Student Unions are formed there like ABVP, NSUI etc to help students in the campus and also represent the college at district and national levels.

The eligibility of the course was 3yrs . The application form is available offline in the campus only where the application fees varies with respect to gender, category etc as it was a government college. Through reservation the cut off for the admission is low, the fee is low and you can also get scholarship based on the category. The faculty was great there during our times, exams were conducted regularly and pattern was according to the syllabus , a good student can score great. The area of improvement is that the admission process should be made available online which will be helpfull.
