Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very vast and definitely not easy. we have this CAL system in which we have project-based learning. We have to complete a project in almost every subject. So, I'll say practical learning is very much focused upon. We also have this additional learning thing in each subject in which you need to either publish a research paper or complete an online course to get marks. We have this FFCS (Fully Flexible Credit System) in which students choose which subjects they want to study and in which sem. along with the faculty and timing. so, there is a lot of choice for electives.
Internships Opportunities
College doesn't provide internships. You need to find it yourself. But 1- the internship is mandatory to complete. Although there are emails from college to participate in intern interviews.
Placement Experience
Placements are good with avg 6-8 LPA. Companies with 10+LPA and 20+LPA also come in good numbers. They include Amazon, PayU, Intel, etc. Others: Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, etc., and many startups.
College Events
There are many events organized daily by different clubs and chapters. We have 150+ clubs and chapters. The organization of events is good and professional. some are very large scale.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee depends upon your rank in VITEEE. there are 4-5 categories in which fee differs a lot. Mine was category 1 so my total fee is about 11,52,000. In this, Tuition fee- 1,85,000 per year Mess fee - 55000 per year (depends upon mess type this is max.) Hostel fee - 40000 per year (depends upon room type. this is for 4-bed AC) rest are miscellaneous fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides some scholarships based on VITEEE rank. Also, there is some financial assistance for students whose family income < 1LPA.
Hostel Facilities
I stay in a hostel. The infrastructure is good. All facilities are up to mark. Room types: 1-bed, 2-bed, 3-bed, 4-bed, 6-bed, ALL IN AC and NON-AC Mess Types: North Indian, South Indian, Special. ALL IN VEG AND NON_VEG Food depends on mess type. You can change the mess type online every month.
Alumni/Alumna
I don't think there is any official student-alumni interaction. Its just if you know someone, you can contact.
Faculty
Some faculty are quite experienced and qualified. Almost all faculty are Ph.D. They are a bit interactive when you talk to them. Of course, they don't speak Hindi. So, you either interact in English or Tamil. The Standard of teaching is good too. Although, you need to study yourself for good knowledge.
