Likes

Infrastructure and campus are very good.
Varities of culbs and always active. They organise events frequently for students.
There is a Central library which completely best for preparing competitive exams or full of engineering books .

Dislikes

There is Attendance criteria is very bad that is 85%.
Most of the professor are Odia , so they are more interactive with odia students . Zoneism is in air of campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

Begining semester, curriculum is basic and not related to course . After that curriculum is initiated towards basics of civil engineering. Assignment related to real life problems. But Assignment timing is not relavent always just before exams that was hectic time. Exam level is moderate along with assignment questions or similar to that type of questions.

Internships Opportunities

Amazon, Microsoft, Texas instruments, Barclays , Apple, Oracle, Google, L&T, TATA, Intel ,Bajaj and many more companies. The role has been offered are management trainee , manufacturing, data analyst , contractual, analystics and consulting,IT solution and many more roles.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students are eligible for placement and from 5th semester students can get pre placement offers . Total 330 company visited in 2023 and 1534 job offer. Highest package 83.60 (C.S) and Average package 15.74 . After getting degree , you may continue for further higher education or research.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is 65200/- . During time of admission 124000/- and after that 99000 . For SC/ST/PH/ Family income<1 lakh ( tution fee completely exempted). Family income between 1 lakh to 5 lakh ( tution fee is one third of tution fees i.e Rs.20833). Technical fest = innovision ( November) Cultural fest = Cosmo(January) Cultural fest= Nitrutsav (February) Biju Patnaik central library ( awesome Library) In classroom, step up benches,digital board, projector, Mike and speaker system, AC/ fan enough space and good ventilation. Here , swimming, kabbadi, cricket, football,l and many more sports. And along with a sports event (Vriddhi) held every year . Here , lots of culbs for student activity. APS , E-CELL, CYBORG,THIRD EYE , STAND UP CLUB , PHANTOMINE, EUPHONY and lots of many clubs are also ..

Hostel Facilities

In hostel , Two students get a room with a window,a fan , table, and two bed . Each block have a water cooler and washing machine on each floor . On Wednesday and Sunday, maid clean your room , if you report in cleaning register . Mess quality is decent for vegetarian and good for non vegetarian. If anyone is Jain or pure vegetarian they can switch hostel mess with green garden mess by giving a written application to care taker .and menu of mess is according to season or its wil healthy.

Hostel Fee: INR 10000 per year

Admission

Eligibility= jee mains I found application form, application fees and appliances dates through jossa and college official website. Reservation for EWS/OBC/ SC/ST/PWD(OBS /SC/ST/EWS) and for female also.Two mid semester and two end semester exams with moderate difficulty level.

Placements are quite good. Thats precisely why i chose this college . The highest offer last year was 52 lpa . Other than that average package is 6 to 8 lpa for cse students . Mostly all students get placed . A few companies that come for placements are Infosys, TCS , JP Morgan , Deloitte , Bookings holidays , Cognizant, Accenture .

Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

ITER SOA is quite intimidating!!

Placement Experience:

IBM, Siemens, Philips and many other companies and even the chio makers and computer makers are also one of the main share holders in placements. For CSE department the average placements are of 15-20 lakhs but for our department the average drops down to 6 lakhs per annum.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

So I choose these college over the others because of its relevant name and the hype of this college In India as It is Institute of national importance And also a government backed college and it is one of the most demanded college. So the colleges which I have applied to are DTU, NSUT, Nit Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Surat Kal And top 7 iits. No I was not rejected from the other college which I have applied to but the combination of branching and the college value Doesn't satisfied me for taking admission in that colleges. So the admission process for the Nit Rourkela Is that the eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th class And second criteria is to clear the entrance exam which is the JEE mains and also scoring a very good marks in it. Then by the centralised Josaa Counselling student will fill their choices ,lock and get allotments in the upcoming rounds of the josaa counselling. The ending rank to take admission in this college in the EC branch is about a 6000-7000 rank in the jee mains exam for the other state people. Everything about NIT ROURKELA ( campus life, placements, fees )

The best aspects of the college is the campus. It's the second largest campus in India. A lush green campus with a very good mess facilities. The buildings are great. Hostels are also good. Evrything about infrastructure was a plus point. Only negative point is the non availability of airport due to which some companies refuse to come a pick students.
