Course Curriculum Overview
I have opted for civil engineering as i am interested in construction and other works related to this i also love to learn about unique structures and their buliding procedures and it seems that NITR can give me this opportunity. In first year of the course basic subjects from each branch of engineering is taught and from second year onwards we are taught specific subjects according to our branches. There are few subject in first year which have no use in further studies in that particular branch they should not be in the course instead of that course related subjects shoul be taught. a year comprises of two semesters and in each semester exams are held twice which includes mid sem and end sem. Talking about difficulty level the cousre content that is taught in class comes in exams if a student listens in class efficiently he/she can score a godd marks and good CGPA.
Internships Opportunities
Almost all the companies that are here for placement do offer for internships but the fact is that the offering is very less which means that the ratio of number of candidates to number of seats is quite high so it is a hard task to get internships.
Placement Experience
NITR has a decent placement performances. Most of the students get placed in on-campus placements while thoe looking for bigger opportunities can go for off-campus placemnts. placement totally depends on an individual's skill and mindset. Highest package is about 83 lpa while average is 15 lpa in nit rkl above 90 % students get placed through placement drive. After Graduuation i am looking for opportunities in government sector.
Fees and Financial Aid
NITR is a central government institute so fee is decided by government of india and actual fee for each year can be seen for institute website itself. The complete cost of course is about 8 to 10 lacs and it also depends on family income as the candidates having family income less than 1 lac they don't have to pay for tution fee that is approx. 60 thousand and the candidates having income between 1 lac to 5 lac are given a rebate of 2/3 of tution fee i have not taken advantages of any employment still

Admission
Minimum Eligibility criteria is a student should have passed 10+2 examination from any board with a min. of 75%. Then he should have appeared in JEE Mains Examinations whose application form is released on JOSSA website and exams are conducted twice in a year in the months of january and april respectively. Reservation is given on the basis of caste certificate. The exam is not much difficult as the course content is similar to the 10+2 examination a student just needs to practice more questions from the PYQ and other books available in the market so that they can have enough practice and match the difficulty level of examination. After that counselling is done through JOSSA having 6 rounds and CSAB havimng 2 Rounds. A student should fill his/her choices wisely.
