Course Curriculum Overview

3

I love doing coding and logical thinking. I love to solve questions which keeps our brain to think out of box. So this is the reason I chose computer science department. The curriculum prepares us well by conducting labs and making us think critically and also we do projects, which helps us to have real world experience. It think we also have some unnecessary courses here, which must be changed with the time and the evolution of technology. The frequency of exams are , 2 quizes and 1 endsem per semister and we may have some tutorials (mini-tests) based on professors choices.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many top companies like quant companies(jane street) offer 3lakhs per month stipend and companies like google, microsoft, offer 1.5 lakhs per month stipend. The intership duration is around 2 months in every company.

Placement Experience

4

Campus placements start in the ending of first semister of fourth year for the 4-year undergraduate students. Campus placements happen every year in december for passing out students. Around 450+ companies visit for placements. The highest package was 1.3 crore per annum and average is around 19 lakhs per annum. Almost around 55% of students get placed and many people go for higher studies or go after chasing their passion or building their start ups. I wanted to work in the software industry after my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is 111350 per semister ,if you do not have any reservation. The hostel fees per semister is 37000 for everyone(even if you have any reservation). There are many scholarships available for SC/ST/Pwd students and also for students whose parent's income is less than 8 lakhs. Campus provides us to explore lot of things. We can explore all the games we like and we have many clubs for science and innovation which helps us to have real world experience. There won't be any hike in general in institute fee and hostel fee from semister to semister.

Campus Life

2.5

We have two biggest annual fest.We have a technical fest named "shaastra" which is held between jan 5-jan10 every year. We have a cultural fest named "saarang" which is held between jan11-jan15 every year. We have a 4-storey library which has vast number of books and almost all the books and recent magazines and daily newspapers are available in the library. Most of the class rooms are air-conditioned and with good infrasture. We have almost all the sports including swimming in the campus . There are around 23 clubs which focuses on innovation using science named under "centre for innovation". Joining these clubs helps us to have good connections with people and helps us to learn new things.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We have double-sharing rooms for first year and second year undergraduate students. We are provided with 2 beds and 2 cupboards and two tables and chairs. I would rate 5/10 for mess food. You just have to pay the hostel fee before start of every semister and then you will be alloted a hostel and mess . The hostel and mess fees is 37000 per semister ,which I think is affordable.

Admission

I got into this college by writing JEE Advanced exam in my class 12. So by getting a good rank in the JEE Advanced exam,I got into this college and I joined in Computer Science department. After getting results of JEE Advanced exam, your have to keep your preferred colleges and preffered branch and you must apply for counselling in JOSAA website. Total of 6 ranks will happen in the counselling.Based on your rank and the preference of other students and based on the colleges you have choosen in JOSAA website, you will get a college. Ofcourse, reservation helps you a lot in this. You can get into a good college even with less score.

The highest package this year was 4.3 crore per annum. The average salary in Electrical engineering is 22 LPA. I plan to join a company and work for a few years and then decide what to do. I am not yet clear about my future plans.

The placement in the college is amazing. Students get placed in good firms and with high packages on an average of 6 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered on campus will depend based on the departments. Core branches get an average of highest package of six lakhs per annum whereas for Electronics and Communication department and Computer Science department, the packages will be even more. The percentage of students getting placements include above ninety percent. For those who are not interested in placements, other opportunities like entrepreneurship training are also provide from the startup cell which is available in the college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from their 6th semester. Many companies like Infosys, CISCO, TCS, and more visit the college. The college provides a lot of Placement training to help us with our placements (in and outside the college) The highest package I have seen my seniors get was 60 LPA, I think. (I think the actual highest must be much more, but as I am not sure, I am not going to make a guess) The average package that you can expect at EEC is around 6-10 LPA. Pretty much all students get placed at my college. I intend to get placed after I get my degree and work full-time.

Placements are pretty decent, not the best not the worst. But if you are willing to put the hard work then you will be given a good opportunity. I say so because top tier companies such as Google, Microsoft, apple, dell etc do visit but take only a very few people, so if you are good enough to be in those then sure you can crack more than 50lpa
